Unfortunately for me, I understand. For me, it’s more comfortable and practical to carry OWB, closer to 3 o-clock - my being right handed, Vs shoulder holster. I can sometimes wear IWB but closer to 3 o-clock. I imagine it can differ per person.

I purchased an IWB for my first holster, I decided quickly that I didn’t like it.

Presently I’m leaning towards shoulder holster, given that we’re still in the middle of winter, and it doesn’t get warm that soon here (we can sometimes have snow and jacket weather all the way into April.

I use a leather OWB holster all year long, Pull either my sweater/jacket over it or my t-shirt. Tried a IWB when I first began carrying but didn’t like it.

I’ve never found a really comfortable IWB that I liked. I have one I use sometimes, but after a few hours I can’t wait to get it off my belt. I use OWB all day long. Honestly, get one that rides high enough with a fairly short barreled gun and it never peeks out from under the shirt. Also, get a black one, and most people will never notice the bottom edge of he holster, even if it does show now and then.

For you guys that don’t like the IWB option, can you provide some details? I’m pretty lean, but have to have a shirt under it when I carry.

I am 5’10”, about 205, but with a round front-protruding belly. Even without a gun, my jean tend to slide towards my hips. With a gun, I constantly have to worry about de-pantsing myself, which leads to undesirable adjustments. I carry IWB at 4 o’clock. I have tried belly bands and shoulder holsters, but nothing seems to work for me. Suggestions?
