Actually I misread some stuff. I was asking how to go about getting certified as an instructor. I would like to be able to volunteer with helping people get emergency CPLs.
I’m contemplating doing that course if a class pops up close to me, or if it coincides with a visit to my sister’s. Sounds interesting.
Well I’m here and we start in the morning… I’ll let y’all know how it goes!
It was AWESOME!
Starting my next instructor class this weekend - I’ve got both Women’s Self Defense and Mass Shooter modules lined up - probably do the Women’s Self Defense one this weekend. Going to head over to the range and try several different small glocks to see what I should be shopping for (need a smaller EDC). If I have enough time, I’m going to take the new Canik and train on NOT Stovepiping
. Or if that doesn’t work, I’ll be training on failure drills

What are y’all planning to train on this weekend?
Gotta go in to work both today and Sunday, so range trip both days… it’s just a mile from work.
My groups are 3x4" out to 8 yds at about 1 sec per shot. Thursday I started working on faster. Groups still tight at 5 yds, but at 7 they opened up a bit. Going to work on faster/tighter groups at 7 and 8 yds until they’re back in the 3x4" group. Might take more than 2 trips
I think training at home with snapcaps is an excellent idea. Practicing home invasion response or that “window breaking at 3am” scenario is essential self-defense training.
