Weekend drill - what are you working on this weekend?

There’s still time to get in on the November Target Challenge! Why not print out the target and head to the range?

What other self-defense skills are you working on this weekend?

Vehicle drills, doing dry runs with the wife and kids in the car kinda of an immediate action drill. And learning where medical car and police stations are. Nothing real complex but having a very basic understanding of escape and head towards help. Get away from the X

I’m no longer in the National Guard. Haven’t done a drill since 2004.

Draw stroke.
My goal is to draw (fluently and repetitively) and hit 2" laser target from 20 feet in max 2.50 second.

When you set those goals do you start with speed and tighten the group or get the grouping and speed up?

One shot only. Draw, aim, shoot, reholster.
Actually I’ve already started with 2.50 sec and haven’t found any issue with hits. I’ve sped up a little and found fully comfortable with 2.20 seconds.
When I set up my time to 2.10 I’ve started having misses every 3 - 4 shots.

So my goal for weekend is gonna be 2.10 seconds :slightly_smiling_face:

I have made it a point to clean and re-lube my household and carry arms. Been maybe 6 months? Now that the weather is turning cold and rainy figure it is a good time to just protect what I have. I use the Mil-Comm line of products on my firearms. I am very comfortable with their product.

I’m working on a Damascus Steel Kerambit for my brother in law I deliberately left it fat so he could trim what he wanted.

Plus working combat reload and laser drills. I can’t get ammo at a price I can afford. So I’ve been using my laser system.
