Sounds like a very good start. Certainly moving in the right direction.
Nice work there Puerto Rico! We could use some of that around here.
Thatās awesome for PR. I may need to visit there again! The first time I was there, I was on a cruise with a large group. We went to a bar while we were in port and all just hanging out enjoying fruity tropical drinks. One of the guys in our group went to the restroom. He was gone for a long time. After about 15-30 minutes, a few of us went to the bathroom to see if he was there. He was. He locked himself in a stall because a few locals followed him in and were acting suspicious. They stayed there until we walked in then they left. Welcome to Puerto Rico!
And a tad of useless knowledge:
Puetro Rico and San Juanās names were supposed to have been reversed. The Island was supposed to be named after San Juan and the port of San Juan was supposed to be named Puerto Rico.
Useless knowledge? No such thing.
And now thereās a bill threatening the employment of LEOs in Virginia who donāt execute the new legislationā¦ I think the time for sitting on the sidelines is over. The loudmouths have had the floor long enough.
Dear President Trump,
Get off your ass and say something. Better yet, do something.
Thanking you in advance,
Your (potential) Voters
Oh no! I am a wealth of useless information!
Well, @MikeBKY, I have a mind like a steel trapā¦you know, the kind under the sink where all the sludge and gunk gets stuck. Stuff like the name of the first US president, at least technically.
@Patrick47. I share your pain, brother. Thank you for putting your butt on the line for our country. Many of us have made continued sacrifices for the United States of America and will keep at it. We need to be more disciplined and intelligent than the faceless powers provoking a Civil War 2.0. If a 100,000 Virginians show up for a peaceful rally in Richmond on 20-Jan-2020, that will be a true indicator of citizensā resolve. I have made arrangements to be there. If you would like to attend, I have a spare bedroom. We can go together. Iām amazed at the number of Virginian principalities that are making a positive statements in support of The US Constitution. It would be truly impressive if other states followed our lead. Maybe we are ground zero for something more powerful than starting āThe Boogaloo.ā Read up on General Burns idiocy in the Battle of Fredericksburg. The Sunken Road. Maryeās Heights. The Irish Brigades of North and South killing each other. The graveyard filled with nameless Union soldiers. If anyone wants a tour of the Civil War Battlefields, just drop me a line. Keep the Faith,
John Hansen, by the way.
I appreciate the offer Jeff. However, I have several military commitments over the next couple months.
Iāll definitely look up the books you referenced. They definitely appear to be interesting and educational. Appreciate it brother. And thank you for your service.
I have been reading through a lot of terrific responses in this thread and want to add a comment. I did not have time to read all responses so forgive me if I am repeating anotherās comment. Folks, Virginia is in the mess it is in because good people, busy hard working people did not make voting a priority. The liberals took advantage of this and won! We must not be complacent when it comes to our constitutional rights. It requires vigilance and persistance to remain on top. The left often has more free time to organize, protest and vote. Those of us who are conservative tend to be hard working productive members of society and do not have the free time the trouble makers on the left have but we have to make time. Also, as corrupt as our political system is it is what we have and we must leverage it to the best of our ability for our conservative values. I hope this mess serves as a cautionary tale to all conservatives across the country to wake up and get involved in the political process. At a minimum, vote!
And this is happening!
Part of what I love about what they are doing there:
āAnd even though Democrats outnumber Republicans 3-2 on the board, both resolutions passed unanimously, the station saidā
So itās not even a red/blue thing, itās an American constitution thing.
And it always has beenā¦ā¦
The 2nd is there to protect liberals from any Right Wing Fascist regimes that may come in and attempt tyranny just as much as it is there to protect conservatives from any Socialist Marxist regimes that may come and attempt to extort liberty from the people.
It is a well thought out check and our Founding Fathers knew exactly what they were doing.
In addition, a Virginia sheriff said if Democrats pass restrictive gun control laws, he may deputize thousands of citizens to exempt them from such measures.
If he deputizes them, will he be giving them guns to go collect guns?
He would deputize them so they would be exempt from the new lawsā¦I thinkš
If he deputizes them then, as LEOs, they would be exempt from the prohibitions that the state is putting in place. In Kentucky, Sheriffās can deputize as many people as they like as āspecial deputiesā during an emergency. The declaration of such an emergency is at the Sheriffās sole discretion.
I think the congressman should use is own advise and send the military into the sanctuary cities and deport the illegal aliens from the country.
@Patrick47 Plenty of info on these Civil War events online for free. Ken Burns did a complete video series on the Civil War that was comprehensive and historically accurate. Most libraries have a copy. It is available for viewing on Amazon and possibly Netflix. When you walk the ground of these events and consider the horror and suffering that occurred you sober very quickly. Iām a knuckle-dragger and I get it.
Iām still trying to figure out why large population centers in Virginia can dictate to the entire State. Did 100% of Constitutional Conservatives show up to vote? RUMINT is indicating 38-42% voted in November. I realize folks have to work to make ends meet but voting is easy in our country. Absentee ballots help tremendously and voting is a fundamental right and responsibility of each and every adult citizen. Iām not giving that right away. I hope our fellow citizens will diligently exercise that right before resorting to violence.
