I wouldn’t mix this with left or right. I’m far away from political agendas talking about differences between continents.
Europe is much worse with liberal and leftist ideas (that’s why I so easily agreed to move to USA), but the level of violence is different.
We do have a historical path living with firearms. Europe does not. Even weapons dictated how European civilization looks like… somehow became officially non available for civilians. Is it good? Impossible to find out. 50% will say yes, 50% say no. Me as a European born I’d would say yes. I spent over 35 years of my life there without single firearm related encounter that would harm me, my Family or people who I knew.
Once moved to USA everything changed. I tried several years living European way… I would say successfully… till the single incident that was a typical “everyday violent encounter with deadly weapon” .
Yes… Typical here. Whole my Family was shocked that something like this can happened… nobody here (my coworkers, LEOs, EMS) was surprised… Like I said … another attack that happens all the time.
So now you can see how I do see things which differ between USA and Europe.

Do you see any cultural differences between the different races, read colors, of people. Cultural differences that may not align with one another? Cultural differences that in fact can not comfortably exist next to each other?
I agree that would happen, but what I’m saying is, if we were invaded then every ethnicity would come together as a whole to defend our planet. Yes, there would be snakes and rats among us, but like you said that is simply the history of our planet. I wasn’t actually speaking as to every individual on our planet but more so to the vast majority of ethnic groups on our planet.
The point is that all Muslims don’t agree with that any more than all Christians, Protestants, Catholics, Baptist, 7th day Adventists, all see eye to eye on their practices. There are different types of Muslims from different schools of thought. For example, Shiite Muslims have a very different view of things than Sunni Muslims. Each different branch follows the teachings and beliefs of different leaders and what those leader’s beliefs are.
There are in my opinion some that would be difficult to co-exist but that is where compromise comes into play. I don’t have to live and your house and like everything you do to respect you as another person and treat you with dignity and love. People need to stop pushing their beliefs and ways on other people to do that though.

I don’t see most religions as being so different in what they do. Most religions have committed horrific atrocities on people in the names of their Gods. Has anyone of you ever been to Vatican City and seen the absolutely ridiculous wealth of gold and artifacts there that have been pillaged from around the world from all the murder and genocide the Popes have committed on various people and nations throughout history? If you’ve never been I can tell you it is incredibly mind boggling. I say this not to put Catholicism on blast but to point out that these religions are not so different as some would have you believe. There have been other religions throughout our history that have been just as brutal and violent as some Muslims and some Christians.

Fist fight is never the same as fight with deadly weapon. It’s very hard to explain, especially to people who live in the same Country all the time. It is easy to be prepared for a fist fight and survive it, but it is not so easy to survive deadly weapon attack. And this is the difference.
We started this thread with information that 5 women were murdered in 24 hr in Vienna. This is really non common in Europe.
But if you look in statistics in US cities… 5 dead people in 24 hrs in single City is nothing unusual.
I don’t see any news here saying “shooting in Chicago”… and few days later I see Police statistics “10 people dead after shooting last weekend”… yeap.. nothing unusual. Like I said - everyday life in US City, but big deal in European City.
Christopher, You cannot compromise with a fanatical people that say if you do not believe in the Koran or the Prophet you are an INFIDEL and ALL INFIDELS must die! and their belief’s are I must PLEASE the Prophet! and in doing what I am ordered is to rid the world of ALL INFIDELS. A Muslim race is the only race and they will not be satisfied until their population is the only population. It pleases the Prophet that I must kill you and if I have to give my life in the process I will do so because Allah will REWARD me with riches and Virgins beyond imagination.
