I’ll start with a show that was recently revived.
If I ended up buying a Glock this Black Friday,
credit Justified.
I recall Ruger fanboys were excited when a GP100 made an appearance in one of the episodes.

Does a “phaser” qualify as a gun?
One show that stands out for me and My Wife is Big Sky, starring Katheryn Winnick who plays Jenny Hoyt, an ex-cop who, despite being separated from her husband, Cody, still does freelance work for his agency; she later rejoins the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s office as a deputy detective.
Also starring is Kylie Bunbury who plays Cassie Dewell, a private detective who co-owns an agency called Dewell & Hoyt, which she initially runs with her romantic partner, Jenny’s ex-husband.
This show is special for us because the two main characters normally carry the same weapons (almost) My Wife and I carry. I carry a 92A1.
Beretta PX4 Storm
Starting from “The End is Near” (S1E08) Jenny Hoyt (Katheryn Winnick) carries a Beretta Px4 Storm as her personal sidearm. John Wayne Kleinsasser (Kyle Schmid) takes it and uses it to threaten Jenny in “Bitter Roots” (S1E15).
Beretta 92FS
From “The End is Near” (S1E08) Cassie Dewell (Kylie Bunbury) carries a Beretta 92FS as her sidearm.
When we watched “The End is Near” I paused the show and took a close look at the weapons they were carrying and made comment to My Wife. She didn’t believe me, so I got our weapons out, backed the show up and showed her. She just nodded.
Women just don’t get it sometimes…
I love that show, what a twist involving Ryan Philippe’s character, so unexpected (no spoilers for those who haven’t seen it yet). Katheryn, Lagerta of Vikings, was perfectly cast.
I didn’t pay attention to weapon brands and models when I watched season 1. I’ll look for it on streaming platforms.
For some reason, when I think of Trooper Legarski, I picture him with a revolver.
I always thought it was odd how Katheryn’s character, Jenny, carried her pistol. It has a riser to elevate it higher on her waist so she can button her jackets and coats, which are usually short and fitted to accentuate her figure.
Kylie Bunbury, as Cassie, seems to have a more standardized holster setup as she is often seen with a longer chore styled coat.
And you are right, Trooper Legarski should have been cast with a revolver.
I’m still a fan of the Old West, including the weapons of the Indians.
S&W 29 ‘‘Dirty Harry’’
boy how many shots did I shoot 5 or 6??? , feeling lucky
@BRUCE26 i always associate bow and arrow with Robin Hood. For native Americans, it’s the blowgun.
“But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and it can blow your head clean off. You gotta ask yourself one question, ‘Do I feel lucky?’ Well do you, punk?"
I mostly strive to collect guns from Westerns, from John Wayne to Tombstone, passing through every Tom Selleck western film. Some of my favorites are my Crossfire Trail Winchester 1876 Centenial in .45-60 and my Schofield.
I once got started with a single six and a Henry, both rimfire models. Not period accurate but good enough for me.
They’re long gone but I’m considering a .357 Henry, just waiting for the right deal.
Grew up on the east coast, whos John Wayne
Pretty sure they were using the B&A before Robin and the only blow guns I know of were used by the Cherokee and surrounding tribes in N.America and not so much outside of that. And I said “weapons”, meaning spears, clubs and knives.
Star Wars Han’s BlasTech DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol, Chewbacca’s Bowcaster (which makes it’s first appearance in Return of the Jedi)
Dirty Harry S&W Model 29
Dirty Harry Kate Moore’s (Tyne Daly) Colt Diamondback. I think it is a really cool looking revolver. Sadly it commands a pretty penny on the collector’s market.
Lethal Weapon Murtagh’s S&W Model 19 and Riggs’s Beretta 92F.
Predator GE M134 Minigun (Handheld)
Rambo: First Blood Part II Rambo’s Bow.
The rifles used by the Colonial Marines in “Aliens”.
Ugh! How could I forget the M41A Pulse Rifle. 10x24 caseless, explosive tip light armor piercing rounds! and the under slung 4 shot 30mm grenade launcher!
Great choice!
I had never heard of this show before, but now I have a new show to try out! Sounds interesting, Thanks!
