Suggestion for 9mm pistol that is easy to rack/minimal recoil with arthritis?

They do make the EZ in 9mm now. I have one and it an awesome addition to my collection. Easy to rack, very accurate and easy to break down and clean.

A good solid sight could be a good choice to alleviate some of the stress…with a lil bit of practice of course

Polymer has less recoil than a heavier steel made one? Me thinks you might have switched that idea backwards. Also, it goes against all laws of pure physics as a light object WILL Not resist movement better than an equally sized steel made object which is heavier and in the case of pistols. There are ways to reduce “felt recoil” in polymer pistols in how it operates, such as delayed blowback, tiling barrel venting the barrel and and the choice of ammunition such as lower powder charge and reduced grain weight of the bullet.

Short rebuttal is that a polymer made handgun will not produce felt recoil than a steel one. True today as in the past.
