It’s likely to get a lot uglier. The free money for all will eventually run out, the economy will only be getting worse for the vast majority of people, and the criminals know they are less likely then ever to get caught. Even my safe as you can get little town has had a mini crime wave recently, though vigilant neighbors called the county sheriff who caught the thieves in two separate incidents even with the incredibly long response times.
Hopefully the city crooks figure out that having no local LEOs does not make our rural town an easy target. Everyone knows how to take care of each other out here.
