So who is going to be kicked out of the Democratic party next?

Progressives call for Democrat Party to purge pro-life members. Dawn says that there are liberal gun owners. Bet the dems kick them out next

In Illinois there is dissension in the ranks as we speak. They are trying to pass more restrictions regarding the already unconstitutional FOID system. Some central and downstate Dems are catching heat from their constituents on it. If they toe the party line, they’ll face some stiff competition in the next election. If they do what their voters want, they face the wrath of King Madigan the ever corrupt Speaker if the House in Illinois.

Just to clarify this - there are liberal gun owners. It’s not just something I’m saying

I haven’t followed what the democratic party is doing regarding kicking people out. I do know that kicking people out because they don’t have 100% the same views I do will limit my ability to grow - either changing my view or solidifying my view.

It’s the United States - not the Divided States… :frowning:

I’m a Democrat that is for guns. Big 2A guy, but now I am currently in the process of changing parties! The majority of the Democratic party, almost all, are anti-gun, I know that. So I hope that all of the great friends I’ve made in this Great Community don’t think differently of me (including you Dawn + Don), but I’ll let you know, I’ve seen the light! My party doesn’t recognize me, and for that I’m out!!! I’ll let yinz know when I officially change. The Democrats of old would be ashamed of these ones!!!

So, to answer your question Dawn, before they could do it, I just kicked myself out!!!

I’m not affiliated with either party (gasp). I look at the issues and vote for the person who most closely matches my views. Unfortunately, when you’re kind of middle of the road there usually isn’t a very good candidate. :frowning:

I’ll never judge someone on their political affiliation. I look at how people treat each other and decide if I’d like to have them in my friend circle or not. Just because I don’t agree with someone’s political view doesn’t mean we won’t be friends.

You’re all probably sick of hearing me say this, but it comes down to respectful conversations no matter what your views, well almost. If someone is touting hate, we probably won’t be friends…

I am going to choose the middle of the road as well, and all I have to do now is print out the form that was sent to my e-mail and mail it in! Labor Unions always back the Democratic candidate, and I was in a Union, but since I lost my job, this current job I have is non-union, and I really like my current job. I never understood why Unions automatically back the Democratic candidate, without question!

Dude, you’re totally good with us here :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
I also divorced a party because they left me and my values behind… former Republican. Now I vote the issues and individuals performance, but it doesn’t give me much access to a lobbying block.
Guess You and Dawn and I will have to make our own.

Thanks, you made my night! I have learned a lot from you Zee, and many others through-out the USCCA Community. I am glad yinz are so understanding! I mentioned it before, and I’ll continue to state it, 2A people are unlike any other- they look out for one another, and have each others back. The most recent thing I learned has been the most important thus far, and that is humility. One member informed me that someone noticed his USCCA sticker on his vehicle. I stated that (almost bragging) I have 2A stickers all over my Jeep, and even have a Glock license plate on the front of my vehicle. He spoke to me, giving me his opinion of this. Well, what he said stuck in my brain. Now, I think, what if something happened to my fiance-while driving our vehicle, because of these 2A stickers (advertisements). I would not forgive myself - ever!!! So, we just picked up the Jeep yesterday for repairs, but once I get the chance, Today, I will be removing them all! To sum it up, I have learned humility, and that being ones protector is the biggest undertaking, and commitment one can give to another. I would give my life, my all, for my fiance Michele. She has always been right there for me, never leaving, never swaying! She is a very special woman, and I know that, even if I’m the only one that does! She is my everything, and I would do anything for her. I am her angel, and I will protect her unconditionally, with everything in me! So, I love this statement, “Silence is Golden”. And “The loudest one in the room, is also the weakest”. I don’t want to project anything involving 2A - I want to be any other average guy, until the need arises, then, I’ll be ready - for anything, but I DO NOT WANT to draw attention, to me! I want to be the Sheepdog amongst the flock of sheep! Anyway, this is what I have learned.

Talking about stickers i will NOT remove my blue lives matter flag. It’s done me more good than bad. As for politics, I don’t care what party the politician is, s/he talks about being pro gun control or talks about assault rifles (whatever that is) they’ve lost my vote. Period

Now I can respond properly Zee, thank you for your kind words. I do feel like this USCCA Community is an awesome learning tool, and may be the best thing that the USCCA has created yet! Oh, regarding the 1st sentence, I was driving to work, and have arrived, so now I can concentrate on my response to you. We are smokers, so I am highly addicted to nicotine! I have to work on stopping. My fiance Michele has some serious issues, healthwise, and I think one thing has been caused by smoking. She refuses to get a spot checked that was found on one lung. It bothers me! She also has one lump in each breast. Regarding the one, they informed her to wait 6 months and then they will check it again. This also worries me! I can’t lose her, it’s not an option, life would have no purpose then. I have recently found the meaning, or purpose I have here in this life. See Michele cannot have children, and doesn’t have any, even though she was married previously. I have never been married, nor do I have children. We never wanted to have kids, but she mentions it occasionally - it is regret for her. She has had a partial hysterectomy a few years ago. I never felt worthy of having a child. I am a Jr., but the legacy stops here! Anyway I found my purpose, to unconditionally protect my love, and when my purpose is gone, so must I go. Have you found yours? Thanks again Zee, you’re a good friend.

Right on Kent!

I love your passionate nature @Jeffrey.
Personally I think tobacco and sugar are the devil… they are at the root of most disease we could avoid if we control our behavior.
My hubby has struggled to quit both, despite a near fatal heart attack.
I don’t have advice for you on how to get your sweetheart to follow up on her health issues… its scary stuff and some folks have a hard time with it. My hubby has had the 18 months from hell with more than a dozen surgeries and multiple stays in the ICU due to kidney stone issues he’s put off dealing with for 30 years.
Hopefully you can support her in making better choices.
For your (my) side of this, all I can tell you is this… they are who they are, and you have to be willing to accept the whole package, as is. They may change their ways, or they may not. You have influence but not control.
I had to decide before we were married if I wanted the time I’d have with him at the risk of his never quitting tobacco and having to watch him die early because of it. I chose our time together, and while watching the consequences of his smoking is hard, I would not choose to have given up our life together.
On life’s purpose… yes, but it’s a long story. Maybe tonight :grinning:

I’m at work, but I can respond occasionally. I am a great listener, not too good at speaking, but I can write letters and put things on paper like nobody’s business! I should’ve been a writer. Whenever you wanna chat, I am always up for it! I don’t sleep much either these days. A little better now that we got a new bed! So anyway, thanks for responding and have a great day!

Wow. Tough about your fiancé. Too bad you can’t drag her kicking and screaming to an oncologist. If you can afford it take her to a cancer center. Breast cancer is really fast moving. So is lung cancer. I’ll pray for you.

Thank you for your sincere comments.

@Dawn @Jeffrey @Zee

I think I head this middle of the road non party as I have never been a member of any of them (and I am older than you so I was first ). I consider myself to be educated enough to look at the issues and (unfortunately) pick the lesser of two evils. I am of a firm opinion that over 95% of career politicians (those having served in the political system for over 15 continues years at any level) are criminals in one form or another.

Long gone are the days of Mr. Smith goes to Washington.

@Jeffrey I am not concerned with what party you are with or if you consider yourself a liberal or conservative (I think I am a little of both depending on the subject matter). I have met you in real life and know you to have common sense which in my book goes much farther then political views or affiliations. Do what you feel is right in your heart and in your head and all of us here will respect you (well at least I know I will).

Good point. 90% of politicians are crooks. Those who aren’t quickly get corrupted. I have the dishonor of knowing a few (live in DC) and boy do i jump on their cases. Funny. They look at me like a deer in a headlight
