I have had issues With my Sig 322 almost from the beginning, mainly with feeding issues. For the record I am using CCI Mini Mag ammo. It has been back to Sig once and also to a gunsmith. This time the bullet would not feed into the barrel. Tried a different mag, no luck. Took the side off and tried a rod to see if there was a obstruction in the barrel-nope. When the slide was back on it would not move-s**t. I was ready to take a hammer to it but instead it is now back to Sig, I wonder now if there is a fault of engineering of the gun and/or the mag. I do like the feel of the gun in my hand, am fairly accurate with it and when it does not misfeed fun to empty 20 rounds before a reload. By the way it the slide does not lock back all the time when the last round is spent and when it does the slightest movement closes the slide before a new mag is inserted. I will see what happens when Sig returns the gun. Depending how it preforms I am going it keep it or sell it. Meanwhile I am using my Glock 44, which has improved sights and i am getting better with it,
I have a 322 and am very happy with it. Have used several of the CCI, including Mini Mag, without a problem. I will talk about exceptions in a sec.
I bought a bulk pack of Federal 36 gr plated hollow points and get at least one failure per mag, failure to feed but stove pipe is most common. So my 322 does not like this round. They are for target shooting only and function in revolver and rifle fine.
I do get an occasional failure when I am sloppy in loading mag. If i only depress the follower just enough to slip in the round I do not have a problem except for the Federal stuff.
Good luck it is a great firearm.
From a different angle, it could be the ammo. My TP9 eats everything. But when I bought and used YTR ammo, every round was trouble. There were misdeeds, stove pipes, failure to eject the spent round. Any problem and every problem occurred. How does your 322 work using different ammo?
I haven’t had any issues with my 322. I have been using primarily 40gr but also tried some 36gr I had left over from shooting my Henry.
Been using CCI Mini Mag for all my 22’s seems to work the best. Remington 22LR was the worst by far.
Maybe I got a lemon from the factory. it happens. Does not pay to cry over it just move on.
Keep sending it back until they send you a brand new one.
You paid good money for it, they need to make it perfect!
