Shout Out to Reactive Concealment

I just got an FN Reflex XL IWB Kydex Undercover Deep Concealment Mag Carrier from Reactive Concealment. I’ve never heard of them before, but chose to give them a try.

My initial impression is this is going to be a great addition for carrying an FN Reflex XL. It came with both FOMI and RCS Overhook clips that offer a lot of versatility. Ride height and cant are adjustable with the RCS Overhook, and both can be mounted on either side of the carrier to accommodate for bullets to the front or rear; as well as left/right hand configuration. Magazine retention is easily adjustable with a Philips Head screwdriver.

This is a photo with the 15 round magazine and the RCS Overhook adjusted for deep carry. It fits perfect in my back pocket. It also holds tight in place on my 1-1/2” belt.

And this is a photo with an 18 round magazine:

It is advertised as an IWB, but I anticipate I will most likely be wearing it OWB.

great for appendix carry

:+1:t4::+1:t4: While not that particular brand, I have a mag carrier but never thought of that.

You know what, I just tried that. It’s actually not bad since not much of the magazine is above the belt. That has been my major complaint with all other mag carriers I’ve tried - too much magazine above the belt poking into my body. I can actually comfortably bend over and grab my ankles with the 15 round mag without the usual poking. And the biggest bonus – no worries about accidental discharges.

I tried carrying the FN magazines in my back pocket with my wallet with no carrier. Unfortunately, it became very uncomfortable after a couple hundred miles of driving. The back pocket spare mag with the wallet works great for me with single stacks, but this double stack is just too much (for me).

I tried IWB and OWB mag carrier at 4 o’clock (lefty) and had the same result, not suitable for driving.
