Shooting Left Goofy Mistake

That sounds just like me. Hmmm I like the sights a lot. They’re low profile and easy to pick up and get on target. They may not even be the reason I’m shooting a little left.

Well I looked at my targets again. This is my 19X target (again various ranges. I try to get a lot out of my targets).

Though there is more variance, I do favor left. Maybe this is exasperated by the smaller gun.

Then I relooked at the original target and it’s not that bad… this was the first target with the 43x. I wonder if I shoot a little more left when I get tired too .

The green target I posted was the last target I had.

When I installed mine I just pushed them in. I did not size it. Ameriglo says this is how it should work, but I know most guys still size the sight. I wonder if between that and my cheap sight pusher I did something.

I use a bore sight when I change out sights and optics, saves on boolets.

Slow traditional range. It’d be nice to see faster fire results. I really like the mullet Glock for fast follow up shots.

In my defense I do a number of different things too. For example, I’ll leave the gun on the bench and pick it and shoot as soon as I’m on target. It’s not all just straight slow fire.keeping gun down range, I’ll bring the fire arm in and then extend, find target and fire.

I see basic shooting fundamentals issues. Do not think about changing sights, just work on precision shooting first. Make sure your grip is good, your finger is placed properly, you breathe slowly, you find a wall, focus on the sight alignment and sight picture again, then break that wall.

If your every slow shot will be within the red circle from 30ft - that is the moment you can say - “yeah, I’m good enough, time to tight the group, perhaps I need different trigger, different sights or different pistol?” But for now? You really need to focus on basics.
You haven’t been here for a while… perhaps you’ve become a little rusty?

I always carry sticky notes in my range bag. These are perfect for “aim small, miss small”.

I usually carry a deck of cards.
