My dads 3006 new in 1974
Remington 700 fired upon closing the bolt around 1988 barely missed me. He was so upset he never took it out of safe again. He missed going hunting all most 19 years before he died. He was that upset. My son inherited it about the time I read about the trigger recall. We sent it in and got fixed free , they had no comment on dads time spent wondering if it was his fault. He passed before I knew of recall. SO SEND your 700 in for your safety recall.

My 760 would fire with a moderate tap to the butt.
