For all firearms instructors (not just USCCA) -
I just received a repeat fake student inquiry very similar to those many of us saw last year. Nominally from a gmail address, the entire message was
Hello instructor, I saw your profile on usconcealedcarry.com. I would like to know if you’re available to coach my son. If so, kindly get back to me with your rate Waiting to hear from you.
This parental request is bogus. I am not sure of the details of the scam, but it is not worth responding. Be cautious.
Posting this in an open forum both to reach more instructors than USCCA and also because USCCA instructors seem to have abandoned the closed Instructor Forum here.
