Saw this the other night. The Mormons are rebuilding the Temple in downtown Salt Lake, look it up, it a pretty spectacular project. I’ve noticed during the day that they have American Flags hanging from the construction cranes but I had never seen the Red, White and Blue lights. Got say, it looks like the LDS Church is pretty patriotic.
Yes we are a majority of us have served in all branches of the military and at a young age we did boy scouts. It is instilled to be patriotic. I love America and I’m from SW Atlanta. I love my church to Atlanta ward LDS .God bless America . Donald Trump 2024
I was One of the many victims in the 2018 campfire Paradise, California wiped out the town and many communities surrounding Saturday. The latter-day saint Bishop orders really helped hundreds of people out Much needed for furniture and food where FEMA And the Red Cross drop the ball as far as qualifications for victims of that fire. I like the fact that many of them are volunteer service men and women. I have a huge respect for that patriotism and charity though I’m not LDS myself.
I have seen a crane lit up like that before, they were building a hotel, not a church.
The lighting is probably more to do with the crane company, than it is the church.
I served alongside quite a few Mormons, so I’d say yeah, lots of Mormons are patriotic.
I thought of that but I doubt the Church would allow it on the Temple if they didn’t agree with it. After all, the Mormon Temple is their home base and millions of tourist see it every year.
For me the most famous and patriotic Latter Day Saint is Paul Tibbets, captain of the Enola Gay.
