Don’t get too excited. They are advancing it with full knowledge that Governor Witless will veto it, and we do not have enough support for a veto override. It’s a political play to demonstrate how she won’t work with the House or Senate. However I am glad they are keeping it alive. Hopefully the next Governor will be more inclined?

Just keep resurrecting it and go again if needed… that’s how we got there in Missouri.
When are they going to repeal the worthless handgun registration law? It’s been on the books since 1927 and done zero.

There is a work around to the acquisition database though. An out of state CPL exempts you from having to turn in the papers.

So if I got a FL permit (I have a MI CPL) I can purchase using it and skip MI paperwork? Strange.

It just allows you to skip turning it in. You still have to do the background check, and FFLs will still give you two copies of the RI-060.
