May the 4th be with you!

I’m sure there is at least one Star Wars fan among us.

I was not a fan, only started watching when Episode One came out and I treated my then six-year-old son to the movies. We ended up renting ep. 4-6 on VHS to get caught up. I actually enjoyed them. Not a fan though of all other episodes outside of 1, 4-6.

I love it but wish it came in 9mm or .45 ACP, I would make that my EDC.

Today for me the only good episodes are 4-5. When I was a child I hated 5 and loved 6 but as an adult 5 hits so hard and 6 just absolutely sucks.

Qui Gon Jinn and Darth Maul ruined ep. 2 and 3 for me. Han Solo made episodes 4-6 entertaining enough.

True story, Harrison Ford was a failed actor and doing carpentry work in Hollywood when he got a call from a friend that had a director friend who needed someone to read lines to actors who were being screened for the role in an up incoming movie. He was basically going to make some beer money and was told that in no way he would be getting a job in the movie. Harrison did not take the job seriously and was a cocky little prick during the reading which went way longer than he expected so he was just being a complete douche in the process. He was reading the lines for a non human character of the Ureallian race named Han Solo and George Lukas loved him so much that he re-wrote the role of Han Solo and hired Harrison Ford to play the role as a human.

Harrison Ford knew George Lucas from American Graffiti

I had to do some additional digging on this. Lucas didn’t want to cast Ford because he didn’t want to typecast Ford

But the leftist opinion was just so much more entertaining than reality.
