Adam West was comedic, Michael Keaton was the heroic Batman. the rest were oh well. Was a big Batman comic book fan as a kid.
I was never that into comics (I’d read other people’s comics, but wouldn’t spend my own money on them). But I know there are different flavors of Batman in the comics, depending on the decade and the writer. So I’m not too bothered that there are also different versions of Batman in film, depending on the decade, the writers, and the actor.
I’m more bothered that there’s never been a decent version of the original, The Scarlet Pimpernel.
As well as there will only be one Superman…
And one Tarzan…
Then there are some that just can’t be duplicated…
Still like rewatching all three. I have VHS tapes of Superman, And yes a couple of working VHS players.
Sporteried .30.40 Krag. When they made rifles to be used as clubs.
I remember Ron Ely of the tv series. Meh. Johnny’s films set a high standard with less technology.
Touché
Christopher Reeve will always be my Superman.
Those were the days
Best 007 - Sean Connery, close 2nd Daniel Craig, 3rd who was a bit comical is Roger Moore and of course final, David Niven.
Best Batman, Christian Bail as directed by Christopher Nolan. Adam West good but too campy. He should be recognized though. Michael Keaton made batman more real though in a somewhat comical environment.
Best Superman? Really think Christopher Reeves deserves the spot. George Reeves deserves credit by paving the way to Modern Blockbusters,
Spiderman - Toby McGuire. Really brought the movies to light with me. Sam Rami Was an awesome director and was true to the comics.
Speaking of which…if they were just launching the James Bond franchise today, what would be Bonds carry weapon. PPK not an acceptable response.
Walther VP9SK
I would be surprised if it’s not a Glock.
Related question, would the A-Team be carrying Ruger Mini-14s in a reboot?
The movie with Liam Neeson failed to excite the fan base.
This will always be the A-Team
Plus, Johnny W. was the one that did the ultimate “Tarzan Yell” that was shamelessly stolen in subsequent Tarzan shows and movies…
