So, this video is bodycam footage from a female deputy in Michigan. The man ends up dying in surgery later.
This is EXACTLY why you train for malfunctions!

“CLICK” is a terrible sound.
Obviously she is well trained
So OK she shot him like 5 times and re-gripped at least 3 times while he kept coming at her. No wonder she had a click no bang. She might get hemmed up for shooting him 5 times bent over tho.
That said nice tap and rack.
Cheers,

That’s true muscle memory when it counts, good for her.
The officer got off 9 shots that man just kept coming did he have a vest on or was she missing shots?? Shot #6 was a malfunction which she cleared and she got off 3 more shots. The video doesn’t show the final outcome when the guy hits the ground. Some of her shots hit vital organs if he died at the hospital.
Handgun ballistics, unless you hit the brain stem or spinal cord you shouldn’t expect them to drop.
Drugs may play a factor considering the guy in the grey tshirt stabbed an elderly man who was chastising him for not wearing a mask. Adrenaline is also one hell of a drug too.
Not counting shots to the brain stem or spinal cord, other vital organs take time for the failure to catch up with the body. Depending on the severity of the damage it could be minutes or it could be hours.
I see only a still image, not a video. Maybe post a link also? Thanks!
Much better thanks.
Awesome job! I don’t think I want to see my reloads or malfunction drills on tape with a person charging…
I do OK, but she got it done.
No, I seriously think it was a 9mm and not a good old .45 acp, even if the malfunction was reminiscent of a 1911. After 6 rounds or approximately 3 oz of hot lead bad guy would have met the asphalt. IMHO
Nice pieces of hardware. But I do believe some of those shots missed. IMHO
I think in her situation, we all would have missed, training or no training, he was a big dude and already had the momentum and an agenda. She still did great, dropping him within inches of her body cam.
I don’t think she shot while on her heals, only thing no I might fault her for in an upcoming training video, is she didn’t seem to move off the X.
She did a great job with clearing the malfunction. He was still going after the weapon, I’m betting that will play into the legal situation.
Please remember, even using a .45, your shots not guaranteed to stop someone who is high on drugs.
I say “Well done, officer!”
Totally agree.
You are right about that @Dawn
What does a bad guy do after he’s been shot? He keeps doing what he wants to until the severity of the bullet wound takes effect on his body.
She did. She was back pedaling. Watch the patrol car. She started off drivers side then ended up several feet behind it. Let me see if i can find the other camera angle.
Ok i don’t know how to pull vids off of Facebook, anyone able to lend a hand?
