Let's see your new gun!

.308 Win. 24” barrel. Can’t wait to get it and get to the range

Here we just got the Alpha Foxtrot Romulus 4.25” Comp with polished DLC coating. Can’t wait to take it for a spin. Just playing with it the trigger feels amazing and the slide is butter. It’s essentially a Staccato XC competitor at less than a 3rd of the price. I’m not suggesting it’s better than the XC, but for the price? Yeah I’ll take 3. Funny side note: I ordered it directly from Alpha Foxtrot, and when I picked it up from the FFL, who’s a dealer for them, they were surprised and jealous I was able to get the Polished DLC version. They can’t order it.

Update. Took it to the range tonight and …

Wow.

Worth every penny spent on the Romulus. It’s a really soft shooter, with almost no muzzle flip. The trigger is insanely crisp with a fast reset. I had multiple RSO’s try it the range and the look of shock after they fired the Romulus was priceless to me. No one could believe how smooth the Romulus shot. A couple even said they liked the feel of it over the Staccato. Now, I’ve shot Staccato’s they’re admittedly good but I’m sold on my Alpha Foxtrot Romulus. I have to control myself though: I went through over 500 rounds in just this one range visit. I may bankrupt myself on ammo use. :joy:

So I have a Rock Island M1911 A2 Tactical 9mm, which is a 2011 type pistol. I tuned it, got springs and adjusted sear spring, EGW kit and had it running nicely. I pretty much thought I didn’t need another 2011 type but the Alpha Foxtrot Romulus intrigued me so after many a month debating I ordered it. Nothing could have prepared me for the difference, not even after firing Staccato’s. I knew the Romulus was better but… damn. Didn’t expect THAT.

I think that all the time, but as soon as I find a delicious recipe for Cheeto crumbs and dry ramen I will be getting another!

I actually started my 2011 journey with the same RIA 1911 A2. :slightly_smiling_face:
It’s pretty good 2011 replacement… after a lot of work put into it.
I’m still using it for dry fire and live training because of its weight.

I’m glad you appreciate your 2011 pistol… There’s still spot for a better shooters… but you are on a proper route to get there…

Very nice @Mike164 :+1:

Is that the 4-1/4" barrel? If so, planning on carry or range fun?

No, I got the 5” version. This thig is pretty heavy so, at the moment, I don’t intend on carrying. If I did I would probably carry concealed OWB or just Open Carry…

Stag 10 .308Wn 24” barrel. Left hand but I’m right hand left eye dominant so this’ll be a learning curve for me. A buddy ask me why I need a 308….my response was “Cause…America” and just another reason I need adult supervision :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Just bought and shot a Springfield Operator, my first .45 and my first 1911.

My target looked just like yours. :+1:

Well done! (to both of us.)

It’s always a real confidence booster when a gun is on, right out of the box. I think we made a good choice!

Surprise pistol alert! I got the Arex Delta M. I had no idea what is was, only that I had a coupon, military discount and paid $220. After I got it and was playing with it (yes playing, you all know pistols are just adult fidget spinners) my son goes: hey, that’s like a Sig Sauer P365. And sure enough it has the removable fire control group, with multiple sized frames available. M is the small and you can get L for Large or X for Larger. You need longer mags but that’s not a big deal to me and you can use them on the small frame. I’ve shot it a few times now at the range and my son and I think it shoots better than the regular P365. Controllable muzzle flip and descent trigger. No one failure. One complaint I have is the Ambi mag release: it’s too flush to the frame and a pain to use. They must know that because they sell an extended one so I ordered it. Comes with back straps, cleaning kit in a tube, using the tube as a handle (pretty ingenious) and comes with 15 and 17 round magazines.

Is the trigger mushy?
