Lets play word association

When you say Smith and Wesson, does your mind go to, Go ahead punk, make my day! ?

When you hear Daisy, do you think of a flower or your old Daisy BB-gun?

How about Ruger?

How about Glock?

How about Matel? Do you think about the M-16A1?

When you hear Winchester, what comes to mind first?

If you think of the iconic gun that these companies made, then I guess you can say they did what they wanted. They made them legends.

Smith and Wesson … certainly not typewriters and cooking oil. Sorry, just had to bite at the opportunity.

I grew up very anti-gun. We only had sticks. Maybe a revolver and caps. When I think of daisy, I think she loves me she loves me not, while picking off the pedals.

I know Smith & Wesson probably make far more pistols than revolvers (and I have an M&P pistol) but I still immediately associate them with revolvers. The only other name as associated with revolvers in my mind is Colt.

Dasiy, the Red Ryder (never had one, had a Crossman power master, and never put my eye out :winking_face_with_tongue:)

Ruger: 10/22, by far. A total classic.

Glock: cop gun

Winchester, I think of the 94 lever action. And the cowboy logo.

Mattel: Hot Wheels.

Winchester- I think of lever action but never owned one. My first lever action was a Henry.

When I think of Smith and Wesson I think ā€œunreliableā€ because both that I own are.

When I think Ruger I think rugged, overbuilt (in a good way) and reliable.

Glock perfection (that’s what they say, right?)

My dad gave me a Winchester model 290 .22 rifle when I was 16. He had used it for many years. It became, and still is, my squirrel hunting rifle. I never messed with the sights and is still deadly accurate. It shoots the .22 LR and the SL.
