I have two Cane Corsos that I feel the same way about.
Absolutely!
I have a Sister, She throws ME @ the Invaders first! God help them!
âŠSmart woman
The Amazon drivers wonât get out of their trucks because my yorkie and beagle are too mean and bark at them. Next theyâll be sending mean tweets.
Whatâs funny, when I could drive the beagle would get upset if I didnât take him to Loweâs so that he could get pets by the people there.
Yeah, Ajax loves the car. He is over 80 pounds and will sit in the back of my SUV in stealth position.
Itâs so overt itâs covert! Ajax with window down will sniff out his prey and let out an enormous howl as we drive past.
Some people laugh and others are angered as they are startled. We try to behave. The best part is watching Ajax smile after he commits the act. Ajax loves certain people but is loyal by breed and protective. I am cautious as to who I allow to mingle with Ajax. Ajax by breed needs to be socialized at an early age as he is a hunter by nature. He can be mischievous with a mind of his own if not corrected softly.
Ajax loves the guy with the box⊠the pizza box. He will not harm the pizza delivery man.
Two of us will take Ajax to the store with us and one person remains in the vehicle with Ajax as I would never forgive myself if something happened to Ajax. He is a wonderful family member.
I saw a documentary many years ago on prepping and the different types of people left standing after civilization falls. The guests were a peace-loving Hippie Prepper, an inner-city gang member and a US Military Veteran.
The Hippie said all the things he had would be available for trade to anyone in need.
The Veteran said he would trade with the Hippie for what was needed so both could survive.
The Gang member said he would just go and shoot everyone and take what he wanted.
The Veteran replied âYou can try.â
When Dooms Day does hit, there will be preppers, scavengers and US. We are the Sheep Dogs with all our supplies hidden away and we will defend them to the death. âThis is mine! Go Get your own!â My Loving wife feels I should mellow a little in that respect. Not gonna happen. It will be a life-or-death struggle and I am going to do everything in my power to ensure my family survives. If we can come to a mutually beneficial agreement, I will do the same for your family.
The problem is that in a full on societal breakdown itâs likely that the gang members will be the quickest to recognize the new paradigm and be in the best position to rapidly organize themselves into large packs to take advantage of it.
Then throw in the issue of all the desperate neighbors with their starving kids who will eventually realize that the only option they have to survive is to form their own gangs to take what they need.
Lone wolf survivalists and even small to mid size groups likely wonât hold out for long once their dens and bunkers are identified and targeted. Eventually the bad guys come in large enough numbers to overwhelm even the best defenses.
I heard an interview with Jonathan Hollerman author of Survival Theory 2 who had some very depressing and unfortunately likely accurate assessments of what it would take to survive a full on meltdown situation.
Very true. Cities will be overrun with the strongest faction. Time to bug out.
This is fiction, but a riveting read.
My solution is⊠Wait for it!
Shoot the Banger , mount his head on a pike out front
Make friends with the Veteranâcombine forces and resources
Scare the Hippy away and invite his Hottie GF over for Tea! Howz dat?
Iâd like to believe that rural communities would pull together like that. But the pressures from within and without are likely going to lead to far more turmoil in those communities than were represented in that story.
The unprepared masses in the cities may mostly not survive but there is likely to be some high speed violent survival evolution happening there for those who do. Those hardened survivors likely wonât let bridges, improvised blockades and some groups of armed citizens stand so easily between them and their next meal.
As we have seen with our boarder for the past several decades it is pretty much impossible to keep people out when they really want what is inside a given boundary. The thought of the entire US being suddenly subjected to hundreds of millions of desperate starving people doesnât paint a pretty picture. The very few who have prepared for bad times are going to face a huge challenge fending off the starving masses.
Too bad our government isnât using a portion of the Monopoly money they keep printing up to prepare for a catastrophic event like this. Instead they have emptied the strategic food reserves of everything but a couple tones of cheese and a bunch of empty IOUs.
Good story, thanks for posting.
Did you read the comments after the story? Those comments tell the entire story ⊠how many are not prepared.
Ummm⊠There are 12 chapters to this âbookâ.
Hereâs another one from the same site. This is for all the peppers who are gonna be holed up out in the woods somewhere. Itâs another multi chapter one as well.
Thanks for posting Sinbad. Itâs raining and I love a good read.
Came back from Loweâs with a package of carrot seeds, pole beans and bush beans. Will be going into the garden this evening.
huh? not sure I follow this statement??? gas tube? M1A1 springfield???
saw a M1A1 at a pawn shop⊠looked it overâŠ
the bolt had eaten away at the top front of the receiverâŠ
pawn shop guy was telling me it was a shooter??? and the price was pretty low butâŠ
I declined the purchase⊠think it was chinese made IIRC?
gas tube??? where? the AR style 308 has a gas tube⊠but the springfield M1A1???
oh a point of interest!!! Item 22 is oddly enough a very important piece of this system!!!
if you look around you can find rifle cleaning mats and such they say 24lbs of down pressure there!!!
if it fits lose you rifle can print all over⊠proper pressure there and it will behave correctlyâŠ
2 points of contact I guess⊠back at the receiver and up front on stock???
