I like that Tan FDE knife that’s on sale,… I’m guessing if it’s being promoted here it should be legal to carry? Does a CCW cover Edged Weapons?? Guess it depends on the State?
I am not certain a CCL will cover a knife, but as you stated, it probably depends on the state.
I do know the USCCA insurance does cover any self-defense case no matter what weapon you use.
In Texas, we do not need any reason to carry any edged weapon other than we want to carry an edged weapon, and that covers ANY edged weapon from the smallest little folding pocket knife up to a Broadsword or Battle Ax. I can belt on as many sheathed knives I can carry and stroll around without fear of arrest AS LONG AS I am not threatening anyone with one or more of my knives.
In Kentucky my CCDW (Concealed Carry Deadly Weapon) covers firearms, knives, brass knuckles, clubs, nunchaku, throwing stars, machetes, batons, etc. That’s why states which recognize KY’s permit say “Yes, with exceptions”. I can’t think of another state who’s permit covers such a broad range of weapons.
@BruceE and @David38 any real estate available in your area? Man, this makes me want to move. Need any neighbors?
It will depend ont the individual states.
Florida has a concealed weapons license. It covers broad list of items which include knives, billy clubs and various other weapons. Some states only cover handguns.
There are a few properties for sale in my area as well as a couple rentals. I am in an older section of town and most of the houses were built in the 40’s - 50’s, so coming up on 100 years old. Even with being an older section of town, there is no H.O.A. and we are not in the hood, but we are “H.A.” (hood adjacent). That is a big selling point in these parts.
Always properties available and some are actually priced fairly reasonably. Wait for the real estate bubble to burst and they’ll be a steal compared to other parts of the country.
