It seems like a lot of promises are being made and then walked back.
CA promised reparations for slavery, even though it was never a slave state and is running at a deficit.
Do you think the chanting crowds whipped up by Newsom are going to be satisfied with token tax relief or other piddling incentive?
What about college kids who were promised their huge college debts will be forgiven?
I don’t think most people thought much of the hollow promises in the first place—they don’t make any sense, but it only takes one irate person who feels victimized to cause a violent outcome and whose fault would that be?.
Money tends to bring out the worst in people.

Do politicians ever do anything else?
They like to tell us all we can have everything we want and it will cost us nothing if we vote for them. Then instead of giving us anything we want or more importantly need they give themselves and their backers a whole bunch of stuff and leave us and our children with the bill.
It is definitely fueling disorder.

I think it’s twofold
First, we have a government that makes promises it can not keep for the purpose of gaining/retaining power.
Second, we have a certain part of our society that believes that the Government will take care of everything with no effort on their part.
Those of us that are sitting here shaking our heads are villainized, racist, homophobe, old and stupid, MAGA radical, pick you label.

YES! When you willfully ignore the laws that the representatives of the people have instituted and you hold law enforcing agencies in handcuffs so they can not enforce them you are WILLFULLY encouraging criminal behavior.
WHY? Because when sheep find themselves under constant attack, they will give up all freedoms for the mere illusion of government protection. Which is the end, is the purpose of all governments, no matter how they well intentioned they start.

For as long as I’ve been paying attention, politicians only have one page in their playbook, and it’s straight out of “The Music Man.” Scare people and take their money. Unfortunately, few people today have seen Music Man, and they don’t recognize that politicians are just singing the same song.

Politicians lie period. socialist and liberals promise free every thing and that the government has your back ,they will take care of your every need. And Conservatives promise that they will stop the free flow of our tax dollars, and that they have your back. In 2016 we had a non-politician run for President and I voted for him for that reason. The lame steam media attacked him constantly, Career politicians attacked him constantly. Yet he did more for our country than any career politician ever. Half the country is convinced that if a person hasn’t been a politician for their entire life than they are not fit to serve. We need more non-political representation in our government, people interested in serving the country and not focused on how much money they can swindle to enrich themselves and their families. In my lifetime I can think of only two Presidents that didn’t get rich from their position. And one of them was under constant attack from the media and the “other side”. The other was from “the other side”. We have to choose our representation more wisely not just because of the party we identify with. How do we do this when they all lie to pacify their supporters? Look past their promises to how they conduct actual business, and not their sex life or what special interest they support, or say they support. we are actually all on the same side as Americans. At least we should be. And stop listening to the media and self righteous celebrities.

Yesterday’s ‘Conspiracy theory’ News. ByeByedon just stated that the Kennedy files WILL NOT be opened in our life time. Too intense to put the people through. Cocaine found in the WH after Professor hole in his nose was just there (2) days ago. (he lives there now) Oopsie!, France is falling and Macron’s @ an Elton john concert. Italy is being over run by a ‘flotilla’ of charming visitor’s and nobody calls in the Marines? (I don’t know if they even have Marines, but you catch my drift) Where’s the worlds Military Now? Hmmmmm?.

If we could just DO SOMETHING just one more time maybe we can right this countries ship. But I am old (just speaking for myself to save myself a lot of blow back) I’m only early 60’s but today i feel much older. I really thought a while back I ‘would die in the field’. When I was recovering ( a couple of times) I almost pined for that. After seeing civilians in France, Italy etc being beaten and cryin’ and dyin’ that OLD WARRIOR emotion came back Front and center.
Today after our little sweltering cook out I excused myself for a short time and cleaned all my weapons.
Well, honestly it took a while. 
Days ago I unloaded most of my mags to give the springs a break. I did a few other things (confidential 
) that made some of my friends raise an eyebrow I guess you can say. I’m in prep mode. I’ve always been cautious/aware but now I am ready for something (wink, wink, nod, nod). I LOVE the smell of Hoppes in the morning! As I say frequently Prepared is good, If not needed is better (to myself anyway). You can’t be overly prepared. I don’t walk around in camo’s and face paint (usually) I look like every other pet owner except for the bulge on my hip. And now i have my older Anderson hanging in my garage where i work on my cars. Just a little change but to some that may seem drastic…I don’t care. It makes me feel safe and that is all that matters.
So Brothers, Please stay safe, Keep your people safe and I hope this all blows over (it won’t) but hope doesn’t float anyway but it’s nice to say. My ‘way’ is to talk it out and today without any Gunner’s close by, you guy’s are selected to get the duty! Congrat’s! 
Hope you had a nice 4th. At least I can know in my heart why we have a celebration on this day and it’s not the 75% off sale on Bud-Lite!
