If you purchase a Blade-Tec holster, I advise not purchasing the Tek- Lok belt attachment.
I recently purchased a holster from Blade-Tech and decided to get the Tek-Lok belt attachment. The holster is fine. The Tek-Lok belt attachment is the problem. It is a hinged calm shell device that looks like a good idea on paper but is not good in actual practice. It is difficult to put on your belt and impossible to remove it if you have your belt fastened. In other words, it is a convoluted belt loop that doesn’t work. The only way to use the thing is to close it and then thread the belt through the slot as with any other holster.
Here’s the kicker, I telephoned Blade-Tech and the customer representative could not put the Tek-Lok on or take it off!
When I decided to purchase a standard belt loop (the String Ray) for $9.99, the shipping was going to be an additional $7.95. My protest did no good – I’m not going to pay $18 for a plastic belt loop.
