We rode out Mustang 'Sally" at our Gulf Shores, AL beach condo. There is a lot of ‘outside’ debris to clean up and it will take awhile for things to get back to some sense of normality. Anyway, to those ignorant fools who want to defund the police guess who is manning 24hr check points to keep the criminal element out. Guess who is on constant patrol through the damaged area. Hint: it’s not BLM , Antifa, NFL or NBA teams. Anyway my thanks to the LEO’s for doing all they do.

Thank goodness it wasn’t as bad as Fredrick in 1979 - I have some photos somewhere of what Gulf Shores looked like after that one. I grew up in that area …

I remember Fredrick very well, we were over at Hurlburt AFB, Ft Walton Beach FL for that one. Now its been 16 years to the day after Ivan hit our Gulf Shores place. I’ve seen a number of different storms up close. Every time I ride one out I say, “I’m never doing that again!”, but it seems every 10-15 years I need a reminder not to be so friggin’ stupid.

Thank you for the shout out to we LEOs. The current climate is challenging but we will survive. Glad to hear you are safe. I moved to Ga in 1998 from Philadelphia, we did not have to worry about hurricanes. I survived Floyd in 2000.
