The reality is that I submitted my renewal app and certificate from the renewal class in May 2020… still waiting. The ISP website says ‘under review’. My CCL expired last August.

Illinois is honoring permits that would have expired during the COVID shutdown:

Sounds like you should be OK still, but I don’t know if they’ve set an end date to that yet.
