Based on that, I’d regard a breakdown in lawful society to be the bellwether for bad juju on the horizon.

Let’s see if I understand this correctly, They defund the police to pacify liberal criminals (politicians) and thugs. They vilify police when they do their job and stop street criminals, they release criminals without bail and within hours of their arrest, and more than likely return the arrestees’ property (illegal guns). They wonder why they can’t hire qualified LEOs.

I see no chance that could be set up without a whole bunch of whistleblowers, leaks, intercepted comms, self important people spilling the beans, etc.
