My original EDC is 13 years old and has been retired for four years now. I’m keeping it for sentimental reasons, plus the fact that it’s no longer CA legal. My kids learned how to shoot with it.
My newest, the VP9SK, is one year old.
Everything else I could add to the rotation were purchased sometime between four and eight years ago. The one that’s heavily in the rotation, I bought when it was added to the CA roster in 2023.
I vary my carry between factory Glocks 19 and 43, and Glock 26,17 and 19 gen 3 based Polymer 80’s. G19 I’ve had 12 years, 43 9 years, P80 's were put together 8-9 years ago..
Occasional woods carry a S&W m&p 2.0 45c, bought that for $400 about 7 years ago.
I’m at the point where I spend too much time figuring out what guns are going to the range with me each outing, so new purchases aren’t happening I don’t think. I keep thinking about maybe doing some trades, but we’ll see.
90% of the time it’s what I carry. The other 10% I have a Ruger LCP Max. Mostly if I’m wearing jogging shorts, I pair it with a Hunter Constantine belt.
As for holsters… Yeah that’s a money sinkhole…Luckily only a handful of holsters work for my 365 since I swapped the frame to the AXG Aluminum so I didn’t have to search long…

No, seriously, my G19 was my go-to for years, Badger iwb kydex. Then the nerve on my hip got irritated by it, so started using the 43 more, iwb kydex but single stack. Then after moving to WV and seeing guys in basketball shorts and 1911’s at the grocery store I decided to try my minimalist Bianchi owb holsters and found them quite comfortable, enough so my hip is back to “normal” after mainly using them now. I like the p80sc (g26clone) as I have 10-12 round mags, plus the short barrel stays hidden under a tee shirt, and doesn’t rest on a rock if I take a break out on the mountain. I like the 43 as it feels like it’s barely there iwb, and not even there owb. 17 is a woods gun, 18 rounds of hard cast, 'cuz dogman, moth man, Sasquatch , the G19 I still shoot the best, did some idpa with it and the 940c (p80 19 clone) shoots well and has given my 19 some rest. The S&W is generally when I’m camping/hiking ,.45 acp hard cast, 'cuz dogman,mothman, Sasquatch and I’ll have a Glock as well.
Respectfully, does it not bother you that daddy-govt. can tell you what pistol you can carry to protect you and your family? Again, no disrespect intended but may be you should consider moving to a free state where the business of what you choose to carry for protection is YOUR business and NONE of those up in Sacramental.
BTW, H&K makes a fine firearm so good choice if you had to make one.
