How often do you change EDC guns?

All I have is a Hellcat Pro W/Green Dot. I am having too much trouble carrying my new Clinger IWB/OWB—trying to get a good fit on wearing it inside.

In sprimg and summer I carry my Sig P365X 'cause it conceals very well. In cooler months it is my Sig P320 X-Carry where I can get the same round capacity with two mags as with 3 mags for my 365.

Not very often. Sometimes if I’m dressed up nice I go to deep concealment. Otherwise, I stick with my go-to EDC consistently.

Kimber Ultra carry 2 -.45 acp, always! I have others but they are not my EDC. It is a little fatter than a P365XL but is just as compact. It only holds 7 rounds but that is why I have trained with it. It has really good sights and I can shoot rather good with it. It is just a no Bueno. I carry two extra mags too!

But, can you cook with it? :grinning:

Haven’t changed mine. When I wanted to switch to red dot, I bought the same gun and installed a red dot on it. Kept carrying the old one for a while. Switched over to the newer one when I became more proficient with the red dot.

Jerzy, Thats the way I think as well. Consistant as possible.[quote=“Jerzy, post:17, topic:93360, full:true”]
Same gun, same holsters (one IWB, one OWB), same ammo, same belt all the time.

I live and work in open country where threats are usually few but the ones that do exist tend to travel in numbers greater than one and may need to be engaged at longer ranges. But I also often need to be very discreet and not weigh myself down. I am often in legal places that I would still prefer no one knows I am carrying. I also do t let my son know I am carrying since it is unrealistic to expect him not to share that information when he has already been telling me what his friends have told him about his parents and their gun ownership and carry practices. I also often have to hike long distances sometimes carrying a lot of weight and am not as strong as I used to be. So it took me awhile and several purchases to find a pistol that had sufficient capacity and accuracy but came in a small enough package for the carry situations I usually find myself in. Though I’m still on the hunt for a similar sized package that I could reach out further with if needed.

When I work in SoCal I really wish I could carry a larger pistol as well as a semi auto rifle in the vehicle just in case. But my right to self defense is denied there.

So for me one size does not fit all. I have a larger home defense pistol, a smallish carry most days when I can and a discreet slip in the pocket but still good capacity option. All function the same and have very similar sights so switching between them is pretty easy. It takes more practice switching between the different carry positions my various activities require.

Absotively! Whatever it takes to get the ‘feel good Karma’ flowing.
As we clearly see in this topic it takes all kinds of guns to fit all types of shooters.
The ONLY thing I will NOT do ! Is NOT CARRY!.
As ‘Luke Askew’ said in The Green Berets film when asked ‘You’re a Heavy Weapons Specialist?’
…he answered ‘Not if I can find a Light one’

Once since I began carrying a few decades ago, I moved to a smaller and lighter firearm that was easier to carry and conceal.

I have to agree with you. I have my EDC, a Sig Sauer P365XL 9mm, and have been carrying it now for just over 5 years. I have other guns, Ruger revolver ( 38 special ), a Taurus 38 special, Lucern 32 ACP, a Hellcat Pro 9mm, a Springfield XDM Elite 9mm, S & W Pro Series 2.0, a BRG 9mm, and a Canik TP9SFX Elite 9mm. The only other gun I might EDC would be the Canik. I would have to get the Canik SC Elite series, great triggers and all Caniks seem out of the box as competition guns. Of course id really like to carry my Kel-Tek KSG as well as my BCA Wylde 223/556 AR-15 as well! Might be a little over kill, but that would totally rock imo!!!

I have 3 I regularly carry, (not all at once) more in the safe I bring to the range. I change my EDC primarily due to wardrobe limitations. I live in Fl so concealment can be challenging.
