How Many Guns Does A Normal Person Have?

My preference is 10 mm and/or .357 sig both concealable
And capable of stopping about anything or anybody.

Both normality and abnormality can be weaponized if one is determined to do so. For that matter, just about anything can be weaponized, whether physical, intellectual, or philosophical.

There IS a “normal” though.
Your pistol was designed to be accurate and reliable.
That’s the “norm.”
If it’s not, it’s *abnormal" and recognizing that issue isn’t weaponizing.

Yes, we all have a “normal”, but it doesn’t have an existence outside of the mind. It is not an immutable law of nature like, say, gravity.

Quite true, but that “norm” is an expectation of performance based on an individual’s gathered knowledge and experience. It applies, to a greater or lesser degree, to all manufactured consumer products sold in America. We have developed the expectation that any newly-made product purchased will perform reliably for its intended purpose through our own experience as consumers as well as what we have learned about other people’s experience from various sources.

What I actually said was that "both normality and abnormality can be weaponized if one is determined to do so." Simply recognizing that a particular object or situation falls outside of one’s self-defined norm does nothing to weaponize the subject or the opinion. Weaponization is a deliberate and intentional act.

I’d prefer a 105 howitzer, but don’t have the room nor the justification that it is for self-defense, then there was the expense, licensing and zoning rules. :grimacing: So I have had to revise down to my Berettas in 9 and .45. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

Both great choices I also keep a .45 and a 9 mm in each backpack for a little added protection

Society has a Normal much like wildlife, which would make societal behavior part of the Natural Law----just not as hairy (or scaley).

To me, a normal person has 1 more firearm than I do.

When the weight of your gun safes exceed the design weight limit of your floor you just might have enough guns.

Sounds like you need a floor upgrade

More bracing in the basement.

Or an addition, preferably built on a slab. Then there’s the weight of the ammo to consider…

Only in the low lands where you have to worry about flooding…..

Me personally, I’m thinking bunker….

If I build an addition, it’s gonna be a full on safe room.

Most of my guns are 9mm most of my guns are 9 mm(note I said most) in the last year I have added a couple of 9mm carbines. Tried the keltec sub 2000 didn’t really like it. A Henry homesteader and the S&W FPC and absolutely love them. Now I’m researching 9mm revolvers.

One of the firearms my sister inherited when our stepfather passed away was a 9mm derringer.
