Yes, they generally do not make very good self-defense weapons as one would need to be quite far away to deploy and not be killed by it, which then would not make a very good argument for self-defense.

Why convert? Waste of your money. Converting it wont make it compliant, because…its still “capable” of holding more than 10 rounds and your butt stock is most likely collapsible (which under proposed gun control bill, makes in an assault weapon). save you money and dont disgrace your already cool firearm.

I am guessing you say this to offer us an interesting option. I like bolt actions. The way I shoot I wouldnt notice the difference.
However seriously, that is not the solution, that is a cop-out. Do you support the Second Amendment, what it stands for and its purpose? You cant be 1/2 pregnant. Either you support it or you do not. “Shall not be infringed”. Pretty straight forward.
I think people need to stand up and defend their rights without compromise. If you dont we are doomed.

What are you even talking about. I said that converting your AR to a bolt action to be compliant is a waste of money due to the firearm still being capable of holding more than 10rounds. Temporary or not. You go on to speak of the damage a good marksman can have no matter what the choice of weapon is. Whats that got to do with the topic of conversion?

What a concept, if the law that is applied is unconstitutional! No matter how many votes. Is it possible to “destroy” our constitution? We’ve seen an infringement here and there, but a total disregard?

It will be up to the Supreme Court to decide what is Constitutional. If they pack the court, I’m pretty certain what the decision will be.

I’ve heard multiple people today accuse Trump of packing the court. Which of course is untrue, but they like to test these things on the Sunday press shows and see which lines work.
True Court packing would make the judiciary subservient to the executive, and our entire constitutional form of government would truly be dead.

Google already does search the body of your email for data. Filtering for firearms, etc., they could well already be doing that, but might not have yet, to our knowledge, submitted to any government agency.
