Bank of America opened a massive can of worms. They’ll end up getting sued.
If the feds every want to build an unofficial registry of gunowners, they can start by merely browsing this forum and the many, many loving photos of personal firearms.
Or start to require serial numbers on mags. Old ones woudl be grandfathered…which is why there’s a buying frenzie when an area opens up buying for larger capacity mags…before they s/n them.
And that’s why I don’t use Gmail. My yahoo is for junk mail and anything serious goes to proton mail. If you’re smart just call to order. See if they take cashiers checks
I would suggest that is a huge reason why any of us should use discretion on what we post. I know new gun owners are proud of their new weapons and anxious to share, but I would suggest forget bragging rights in favor of discretion. Ask important questions to be sure you can operate you arms safely, other than that I wouldnt go around bragging. The .gov dosent need a registry if you advertise everything you own. I know it is difficult when you just got that new shiny pistol. I know it is a catch 22, especially if you are needing information on operation… I would never discourage that. Just dont go putting up posters all over the internet asking people to acknowledge your new wonderful weapon… it is wonderful, but now the BATF knows it too.
