Okay, I am registered to subscriptions of the following magazines: America’s 1st Freedom (NRA), Concealed Carry (USCCA) , and Mad (DC Entertainment). Am I compliant now?

I’ve never understood the rationale behind “registration” by gun control advocates.
Oh, I understand the purpose is to eventually/ultimately know who owns what so forced confiscation can occur…but how does “registration” reduce gun violence.
Criminals won’t register guns. So that doesn’t do anything for anything.
If a legal “registered” gun owner were to go off and commit a crime with a gun the crime has already been committed, how does registration help in the prevention of that crime (it didn’t) or the apprehension of that individual? Same information can be obtained from a DL.
So aside for confiscation, the case for registration in the effort to reduce gun violence doesn’t make sense to me.
That was brought up before the Illinois House of Representatives and as I remember the giant intellects finally figured out that it is not feasible. I’m thinking Kathleen Willy or maybe it’s Willis (D) Chicago in her infinite wisdom finally figured out it would not work here in the People’s Republic of Illinois
This is what is really behind all of the GUN CONTROL PUSH. and it is also why our FOUNDING FATHERS wrote the 2A. And America needs to wake up and learn from past history. Because ALL DICTATORS, SOCIALIST, AND COMMUNIST COUNTRIES the first thing that they do is to DISARM THE CITIZENS so that they can’t defend themselves and fight back. And that last picture is on that I shot to show what I really think of GUN CONTROL.
Mr. Biden can propose whatever he desires. All these candidates are doing nothing but trying to one-up each other. Regardless…my response remains unchanged… I SHALL NOT COMPLY. 
I think the idea is that even if this generation of registered owners will be “allowed” to keep their firearms, the next generation will not be able to legally “transfer” them, and so the guns will be confiscated and destroyed.
Yet picture ID for voting is too much!
Oh I understand that as the ultimate goal/purpose of registration as I said in my original post.
What I don’t understand is how they make the logic leap of it contributing to reducing violence where guns are used (without linking it back to confiscation which I’ve never heard done by anyone on the left with the exception of Francis).
I’ve never seen anyone draw the lines for me on that (again without going down the road of if we register them all we can ultimately confiscate them all).

How could you even register magazines which cannot be individually distinguished from one another?
There are hundreds of millions of magazines in circulation already that are not serialized so even if some new registration requirement were enacted it would be impossible to ever enforce.
Registration is the first step in confiscation.
Once you have a comprehensive list of the firearms, owners, where they are stored etc large scale confiscation becomes comparatively easy; at least until millions say, “Not no, but Hell no” and resist with force.
Psst, it is not about reducing violence… Look at Chicago, they blame the surrounding states for the violence in Chicago. It is about taking guns away.
Just call the magazines undocumented…
