I have a record in Illinois from almost two decades ago and would like to know how to get my second amendment rights back?
Hello and welcome to the community! I would consult with an attorney, or speak with the state’s attorney in the county the charges were filed.
Welcome to the family brother @Zach15 and God bless you. Try to see an attorney about getting it expunged.
Welcome to the Community @Zach15 .
There has been always single answer for such questions:
“contact State’s Attorney”.
Even we have a lot of knowledgeable Members here, I don’t think you want to count on “internet advices” in such matter.
Additionally each case may be different and you never find strict answer.
Good luck
Welcome and good luck Zach. I know some great people, now model contributing citizens, who had made a mistake in their younger days.

Welcome to the Community @Zach15. The best option to attempt to have your rights restored is to have your record expunged.
I would also recommend reaching out to an attorney to assist you in this process! For your convenience, here is a resource you may use to search for an expungement attorney in your area: https://www.avvo.com/expungement-lawyer.html
@Zach15 Welcome to the community. Lots of great advice inputted to your request, hopefully you can take care of your record. Good Luck!
Thanks for the kind words! God bless you and yours brother!
Everyone has been amazing giving great advice and resources! I’m in contact with an attorney and will be doing what I can afford to do to get them expunged!
