This is BS — Police Superintendent David Brown says the hotel staff member should be praised for alerting police.
"This employee saw something by entering a room to clean it that likely prevented a tragedy from happening," Brown said Tuesday.

Friendly reminder, among all of those laws, be aware if where you are going legally allows lasers or not. All that, plus a laser on a rifle, not going to bode well in their court. “When in Rome”. No one wants jail time or to pay a fine, let alone risk losing any firearm related privileges.
Yet, so relieved for him and the happy lady. Awesome!

That if you do not abide by arcane laws you will likely be imprisoned, if not for the rest of your life, a good part of it. Thank you, George Washington, I am sure this is what you had in mind. Though he did, with arms, stop the Whiskey Rebellion, which, ironically, had to do with taxes, he, or Jefferson, might have had a different view on the anti-2A laws that are currently on the books.
