Why? They don’t work. All they do is add another road block for the law abiding citizens. That was the overall point of my above post. All of these restrictions were in place, and he still was able to climb a ladder, dressed like a woman, and shoot a bunch of people just out for a parade. When I was younger, just the fact he was dressed like a woman would have drawn attention. Maybe, we should strive to get back to that level of normal.

Isn’t that one of the retaliatory laws NY is now trying to pass? The problem is who decides what is threatening when people are practicing their right to free speech? Is posting pictures of your firearm and targets at the range threatening? I think it would be considered so by a lot of the hoplophobes and anti self defense people running many parts of this country.
There is nothing to stop regular people reading these sickos posts from turning them in when they make threats. But the authorities don’t seem concerned about these people when they are busy making online and offline threats. They just want to spend their time taking rights away from the rest of us. Guess that’s easier than stopping the real threats.

Maybe the liberals need a larger display! Or preprinted with his name! These are working as well as gun free zones!
It doesn’t matter if they’re red, pink or blue, a loon with deep seated motive can’t be stopped. That should be painfully obvious.
With all the bureaucratic laws in place, they haven’t stopped a single shooting. Can that be proven?
Let’s see, how long can the liberals go without sending out another shooter? I give them two weeks to Labor Day! Thank goodness there are no holidays in August!

Another example. We simply can’t trust what “The Authorities” tell us. They. like the media, thrive on agenda with complete distain for honesty. But really, that’s nothing new.

The beauty is that they might get decide for themselves instead of someone deciding for them.
Might be more complex than just “giving up” something; Maybe creativity, teamwork, hard work, tough decisions; Obviously I don’t have all the answers.
Just because a law did not stop him, does not mean that law is not good.
If three quarters of the parade attendees were armed, would that really have stopped him? Rooftop cover, rifle, scoped, dressed in “drag”. We got our butts kicked.
But sounds like we agree something different needs to be done.
Just because a person wants to dress and act the opposite sex from which they were born doesn’t mean I have to approve of it. Ppl have become caught up in “I don’t want to hurt their feelings “ they say nothing. I’m not saying we should verbally abuse ppl but at the same time there is a way to talk about it rationally. I too want my rights.
But I won’t give them up just because there are bad people out there that want, and will do, bad things. Regardless of any laws that they pass to try to stop them.
All the previous laws that they enacted, laws that they specifically said would stop this kind of thing. Didn’t. So why should a new round of the same laws do any different.
When the gun control talk starts to ramp up, every GOP Congresscritter should point to this situation and say “Those laws that you want to enact nation wide? Well, this place had them. Had them ALL and it didn’t do anything to stop anything.”
I mean, how many times has a tragedy like this happened and every time, EVER SINGLE TIME. When we get more information about the incident, we find that the perp was known to law enforcement. In but a few rare occasion, the perp purchased his weapons legally.
Hell, we have the Boulder shooter who specifically stated that he chose his target due to the heavy gun control so he wouldn’t face an opposition.
So again, no, I won’t sacrifice any more of my rights due to asshats like this.
