I remember Glocks being “a problem” with gun grabbers since their inception. Right after their release into the US, there were claims that they could go through metal detectors undetected. People would use them on planes, in courtrooms, etc., etc… They need to be banned or we’re all doomed. Then they were used in multiple shootings throughout the years (including Giffords) which resulted in calls to ban them each time. I remember the rhetoric being similar to ARs with ignorant politicians and reporters making all kinds of whacky claims about what Glocks were capable of doing that made them so much more evil than other pistols. It’s died down in recent years. But they had a bad reputation in the media the first couple of decades.
