The government learned a lesson from Ruby Ridge… but not a lasting lesson.
When the people submit and comply, tyranny flourishes.
When an act injurious to freedom has once been done and the people bear it, the repetition of it is more likely to meet with submission ~ Samuel Adams.
If we the people stand form for the Constitution, and demand the Constitution be adhered to and upheld, we do outnumber them… and they may discover that the rule of law and the Constitution are not deceased.

@Virgil_H I’m right there with you, brother. Long in-the-tooth, beat-up and I creak when I roll out in the morning. Been doing some soul searching over the last few months. Plenty of swirl over how Godless our country has become and that we deserve to be destroyed. I will counter that we have evil dwelling among us working towards our destruction. Further, God’s righteousness has flourished in our nation like no other. Does China offer a better solution? We are in a time of tempering. Dross or refined steel? The choice is ours.
As patriots of the USA, we encourage each other to train, prepare and be situationally aware. @Toby3, now may be your season to serve. Protect your family and community the best you can. Be a light to others. Stand firm against evil. No fancy medals or spiffy uniforms. Our reward isn’t in this place. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen. Many have gone before us and sacrificed their all to protect us and our freedoms. Their faith encourages us all. Keep the Faith!

If you think about it there are millions of vets, ex Leos that hold LTCs or CCWs. From Vietnam through trashghanistan. To most of us our Country is worth saving even against those that don’t care. So yes, old warhorse may fit. As would patriots.

@Robert5 VetPop2018 estimates 20.3 million living Veterans at the baseline of 9/30/2018. Add LE, Firefighters and First Responders and that is a formidable force of Patriots.

In a word, “YES”. 22 years in military uniform should have proved that a long time ago. Nothing has changed, other than the country that I once defended - which has changed radically, and not for the better.
Six consecutive generations in uniform, all taking the same oath … “YES”.

Five generations here. And I still feel the country is worth fighting for. The problem as I see it far too many would not fight for this country. And a goodly number are more willing to allow others to take from our country what we fought for and they will not. Just my opinion but there seems to be a lot of Americans that would be happier living in a country without the protections of our constitution. But like you if they succeed I will not submit.

Or when they know you are at work (tracking you thanks to your smartphone or your already known routine – thanks Google, Verizon, et al), they’ll just just show up at your home and sweep the place for weapons. I mean if the 2nd amendment is being killed, will they even care about the 4th, or getting a warrant?

Problematically, simply coming together to make the statement that “this is enough!” is insufficient. The recipient of that statement (the person/organization to whom you speak that phrase) is a tyrant… and thus will be completely unwilling to accept such a mere statement. Long-winded way of saying that “talking won’t accomplish anything.” Democrats (socialists, progressives, collectivists, communists, or whatever the hell they call themselves this week) flatly refuse to - for any reason - enter into any negotiations, in the first place.
While it is quite true that Might never makes Right… Might is always required to enforce Right. Hence the absolute necessity of Conservatives’ willingness to resort to Might, if the Leftists require it (and sadly, they certainly will - the responsibility will be entirely on them!).
