Friday Favorite: Flags on Firearms

Sig Sauer 320 Special Edition Thin Blue Line image

Unique ARs cutout AR Handguard

There are a lot of specialty painted/designs of the Flag on firearms straight from the manufacturer. These are built to look the way they do for show or competition - not as a flaunt against any law or to be disrespectful.

What’s your favorite specially designed Flag firearm?

Well…….being the Boy Scout I am…the U.S. flag code only specifies the flag not being used for “clothing, bedding or drapery”…so printing them on a handgun/rifle is allowed!. :slightly_smiling_face:

I like the Ruger P90 design…very cool antiquing.

Not a fan of seeing the flag used in such a way, it should be revered and venerated with solemn respect.

I will say that these guns look cool, but I will probably never buy one. I prefer my guns to be as plain and indescreet as possible. Guns with flags and other designs are great to look at and discuss, but there is no point to actually carrying or shooting one. They cost extra, and the wear & tear of shooting will soon ruin their appeal as BBQ guns.

For sure! I completely agree. There are a lot of firearms that are pretty, but that’s about it. I do appreciate some of that talent behind the art! Some artwork is incredible!! and of course some is pretty gaudy. The only fancy firearm i see myself owning would be in either a black, stainless/wood, OD green or FDE. Other than that, I would just be looking at them.

Some of these are very pretty, but I’ll never own one (I guess I can’t say “never”, but I don’t plan on it). I think some are gaudy looking and I wouldn’t carry one daily. I do like tricked out AR’s, but they’re more functional than “pretty” and I definitely don’t own any safe queens. I don’t knock anyone who likes them, but just not my cup of tea!

This was just shared by @Jack on another thread and I thought it would be great for this thread too! Wish it was in my range bag!
