That’s why I sold mine and bought the Hammerli
welcome axms. i am a glock guy, and retired leo, and carry a variety of calibers and “brands” (glock, springfield, ruger, beretta) depending on where i am going and how i am dressed, however buy what feels good in your hand, that you can control and feel comfy with, and will practice/train with. depending on size the springfield xds 3.3 feels good to me, springfields are good weapons, from the hellcats, and the xd line, the ruger rxm has a good feel, is solid, and it is a glock 19 clone

Forget all plastic fantastic toys, be a man a carry real handgun. ![]()
welcome lawrence138. sigs used to be a good reliable gun, actually i carried one on duty about 15 years or so ago, however the last few years their reliability has gone downhill bad, from not firing, to ad’s without any help from the operator. i am a glock guy and glock armorer, and own glocks, springfields, rugers, berettas and so on but own no sigs for the stated reasons. But its to each their own
Friends don’t let friends shoot Glocks
@Ryan182 … that is the funniest “first post” ever. ![]()
So I’m going to welcome you to this Community, even if you should start with a proper introduction in a different thread.

Behold, @Karacal is coming soon…..
I await the wrath of #Karacal and his trained long toothed felines.
Thanks for the comment! Im actually leaning towards the RXM now. The price and feel of it was surprisingly great. Modular which for a first handgun seems to be my best option.
Good choice. If it fits you and feels comfortable, you cant go wrong.
Yea I have a USCAA membership, have training lined up including an enhanced carry permit. Permitless carry state. Going with the RXM still thank you though.
Glock. Perfection?
The RXM = Glock + Perfection
If you like all metal guns, which i do, here’s an option.
$300 module on a $400 gun is kinda hard to take so I haven’t jumped on it
I saw this! Im planning on picking this up as well as the full sized frame as well. RXM is literally what Im looking for as my first EDC.

Start here
This thread has become the rabbit hole we have been down many times. Keep in mind this old adage: It is only a poor workman that blames his tools.
I”ve sold guns for a time or two and would never, have and would never suggest a SCCY firearm seen many problems with the cheaply made Daytona Beach ,Fla companies firearm! Ever break one down and get it back together and have it fire reliable enough to count on saving youror someone else life? Taurus haas come a long way in their firearms the higher G series to be specific.I’m truly sorry you took my post out of context and payed little attention to my comment,”Go to the range SHOOT THEM AND OTHERS before you decide”
I bought a sccy many years ago. I honestly didnt think a gun could be as bad as what people said so I bought it to try out.
Everyone was right. Now its just a MI registered paperweight.
I truly agree Sigs used to be alot better made, currently using plastic guide rods on $1000.00 firearms Their SRT triggers Gary at Grayguns laugh at but I’ve been pretty happy with my 365 long slide and have taken measures for Sigs cut corners, I also have a good selection of handguns but yet to own a springfield but have been looking at the xdm series of firearm for a next investment. I also agree with to each his own![]()
it makes sense but it’s what follows that negates it
