You can use the USCCA app to find a lawyer affiliated with the USCCA. Or you can do what I did and look up lawyers who are knowledgeable inp your area about the 2nd Amendment, self defense and know guns. Preferably one with a god record in Trial Defenses. Then interview, may have to pay a small fee, but most will do a free consultation. Explain that USCCA is not an insurance company so no arguing about set fees, at least that’s how I explain it. Then when find one you like call the USCCA and add the lawyer as your own. Ask member services to send the lawyer an information packet.
Voila, you are done. Or at least that’s how I did it.

I cross checked local lawyers known to support 2A and do criminal defense with the USCCA list then set up phone and in person meetings.
