Federal Champion .45acp question

Federal’s website says it’s discontinued, but 300 round cartons are on sale here at a pretty reasonable price. Supposedly brass case and 230 gr FMJ.
I was curious if anyone here shoots this stuff and what they thought of it.

My son and I burned through a 200 rd box of WWB the last time he was in town and I was looking to replace it before the massive CA tax hike. The end use will be range ammo.

If the Champion versus American Eagle differences in 9mm holds, the rounds you’re inquiring about may have slightly lower specs in speed and energy. For range usage it should be fine.

FYI - last american eagle ammo I purchased(10mm) was the dirtiest ammo I’ve ever used.
