Fanny pack screams “SENIOR CITIZEN”. Though I see a lot of folks from S.America wearing packs across the chest, under arm… I guess this is moving to fashion mainstream.

This is true. People today don’t seem to use “fanny packs” so much as they use cross body sling bags, at an angle in the front of the chest/mid torso. The like-a-belt waist pack on an older individual to me says gun a lot more than a modern company, like LuLuLemon, cross body.

Remember “Bad Ass” the movie, he wore a fanny pack! I have several, for different situations. My favorite is cross body with separate side access for my carry. And with the fanny pack I can carry my SOS can and extra mags with me at all times!

Hmmm, Whatever works best for you, fanny pack, AIWB, pocket holster or whatever. I was never a fan of fanny packs…but now they have them for guns specifically, that is cool.

I wasn’t either but it’s so handy to have things like first aid supplies, a bottle of water, chapstick, power bank, etc, on hand without cramming your pockets bulging full

It makes me think of a man carrying a purse. Whatever works for someone else is good, but the fanny packs are just not for me. I hated them in the 80’s…

I like that idea of being able to carry more stuff…first aid but still cant get over it being a purse and more for women.

Some of the new generation fanny packs offer a good option to IWB carry. Noteworthy are those where the entire front panel drops away, leaving unfettered access and no zippers to deal with. With a little practice as fast as IWB.

Nathan57, i also have one of those that fits my Sig P220 nicely although it does not have the dedicated holster that the fanny pack does.

Maybe most places, but the area I have has two colleges within miles of here, and everyone carries one.
