Exposed magazine

I believe that a visible cell phone on your belt is a distraction from an actually concealed firearm on the opposite hip.

I KNEW THAT! :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

New Mexico definition of CC: DON’T! NOT ALLOWED! (even w/ a CCW). NYET! uh-UH! No Way Jose! Ole!
If I carry a Frying Pan doesn’t mean I know how to cook?
If I carry my wallet it doesn’t mean I have money in it? Lint-Burgers

Why would I telegraph I MAY have a firearm?
I got searched last Friday going for an Interview. The ‘Gate Guard’ ask me for my Magazine before I go in
 ‘Snicker, snicker’ I gave it to him (what the heck I didn’t get a good vibe from the place so I complied!
(People now dropping to the floor on USCCA as we speak.) I walked in and said:’ It’s not right disarming me, It’s crapping all over my 2A rights. The Weenie behind the desk said ‘Rules are rules follow them or get out’ (nice) OK, I said, I took out my M&P ejected the round in the pipe and placed it on his desk, ‘Oh you mean like this?’ Then I took out my second mag in my pocket (No belt holder) inserted the mag, jacked a round in and placed in back in my holster. THEN I took out my Taurus G3c and said ‘Your guys missed this one also’
 Pale boy was speechless
I was gonna say BANG yer dead! But THAt might have gotten me arrested. The guy at the door said ‘Do you have anymore firearms?’ I said ‘No Sir’ and he let me by.
You can’t fix stupid. (and yes I got my mag back! RAPIDLY!)

One of our coaches was late for an MMA fight, his was one of the corner men. He went to the door of the venue, they wanded him and found his EDC, he went back to his truck, secured the firearm, went back to the door they wanded him and found his magazine. He said when he pulled it out the guard crapped, punched the panic button and 3 more guards ran to the door. It ended up with the guard supervisor telling him “Don’t you dare throw this at anyone”. They let him in with magazine on belt.

@Don102 So, :thinking: the place you entered for your interview is a “Magazine Free Zone” :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :laughing:

I’ll answer a question with a question: why would you want to?

True but it seems that one usually outnumbers the other :us:

I can tell you TSA freaks out when they find that loaded magazine you forgot in your carry on backpack
 :rofl::rofl::rofl:

The bastards will confiscate it too, though I’m sure it walks right out the back door in one of their pants pockets like all the good knives, tactical pens and the BRAND NEW fishing pliers they took from me in Texas

So, in Illinois my airsoft gun would be treated as a firearm? Note to self, stay out of Illinois.

NO! It is a hint that you are packing and prepared.

You need to know whole Act for a proper definition.
I was focused on the magazine problem only.

"Handgun" does not include:
(1) a stun gun or taser;
(2) a machine gun as defined in item (i) of paragraph
(7) of subsection (a) of Section 24-1 of the Criminal Code of 2012;
(3) a short-barreled rifle or shotgun as defined in
item (ii) of paragraph (7) of subsection (a) of Section 24-1 of the Criminal Code of 2012; or
(4) any pneumatic gun, spring gun, paint ball gun, or
B-B gun which expels a single globular projectile not exceeding .18 inch in diameter, or which has a maximum muzzle velocity of less than 700 feet per second, or which expels breakable paint balls containing washable marking colors.

That’s the ATF definition.

So, it sounds like the issue is not one of the “legality” of carrying an unconcealed magazine, but the personnel “policy” of the Sheriff’s office with respect to how volunteer auxiliary officers dress while on duty. That’s entirely the Sheriff’s prerogative.

I think we covered the magazine disaster well. Keeping things under the cover is the best idea for what we do not tell others then others will not know. I have magazines under the mattress and stacked in the bathroom. Oh wait, USCCA magazines and shooting magazines! Even my wife is surprised when she figures out that I have been carrying but she likes it too! I carry two extra magazines with me.

I carry everyday but for some reason, I forget my extras magazine about 75% of the time. Which is sad because my Kimber EVO is only good for 7 rounds.
Note To Self: Grab the mag dude.

Don’t need an extra if it holds 15 :grinning:

Gotta get up with R
“Hey R, Karacal says my EVO doesn’t’ carry enough rounds, and you know he’s a real smart dude that knows his stuff about this, I need to go to Galensons and find an EDC that holds 15 rounds. Maybe I’ll get you one too
”

So my buddy that carries a FN 5.7 with 2 spare 25 round mags is carrying too much ammo? (76 rounds total)
