The term “Pistol” means a weapon originally designed, made, and intended to fire a projectile (bullet) from one or more barrels when held in one hand , and having: and a short stock designed to be gripped by one hand at an angle to and extending below the line of the bore (s). AFT

The trick is:
a chamber(s) as an integral part(s) of, or permanently aligned with, the bore(s);
And that excludes revolving chambers…

For this thread purpose, I think we can agree that everything is a pistol.

Yes, to be sure, but while a pistol would be made with the purpose of shooting bullets, bananas are made with the purpose of providing potassium, too much sugar, and awesome tastiness in as non lethal a manner as possible.

I’m sure John Wick could kill a fair share of people with a banana;) Just don’t let Biden and the ATF know because I’m sure they will want to add them to the confiscation list after they round up all the guns.
