DOD Directive 5240.01

Military now has power to engage in helping police and kill civilians.

There are several YouTubers, Rumblers, podcasts talking on this Directive that just came out a couple of weeks ago. Some are great at breaking this kind of thing down.

Just in time for the 2024 election, eh?

Are they expecting something or gonna do something?

Lol!

As long as they are killing civilians and not murdering them/us I am ok with it. If they are killing murderers or someone who is going to do one grave bodily harm, which is the only way to legally kill some one, I am ok with it.
Edit-As long as we get to keep our second amendment rights.

This is from 2016.

Welcome aboard!

It could have been written in 1016, the fact that they are going to implement it November 7th is mind boggling. What you perhaps meant to say, is they have been training to kill civilians since 2016!

I’ve told you guys for years now, they will just be following orders!
“White Rage Miley” expelled all the patriots from our military!
Either way we are about to be demolished! History is repeating itself. You’re seeing it every single day.
We have NO power! We are under the illusion that the “people” wield such great authority over our government!
By sitting here making memes, we’ve created a monster , the vote WILL NOT be legitimate and there’s nothing we can do about it.
Yeah, sure, I’ve heard it all before. However, if we believed in half the crap we talk about, WE WOULD NEVER BE IN THIS SITUATION :exclamation:
Yet here we are. The transportation and the uniforms have changed, that’s all.
The big question is are we dying on our feet or our knees

@Robert1246 you may want to seriously reconsider that statement!
This doesn’t get any closer than the Nazi directives during Hitlers reign!
I never had a problem reading about history, living it, or shall I say dying in it, whole new ballgame !
This will live with me forever. ( which could be a very short time ).

Good catch.
What my statement is supposed to mean is as long as they are fighting criminals. I can’t see a problem with that. Can you? What should be considered? What am I missing?
I can only see one problem. If the military gets involved what would they need us for.
I should amend that to say as long as we get to keep our second amendment right. Right?
When seconds count the military will be there in minutes:smiling_face_with_tear:.

Or are you saying they will be murdering civilians and thinking they are killing them.

Believe that this is what was intended to have been posted:

The issue is on page 13, specifically 3.3a.(c)

What needs to be said here is the miltary is not supposed to be involved in civilian affairs! Their role is to protect us from foreign invaders.

It’s not about what they may be doing, but the fact they’re not supposed to be doing anything at all domestically.

This directive changes all that.

Yes, this is the correct file. My bad. I’ll fix it up.

The Posse Comitatus Act is a United States federal law (18 U.S.C. § 1385, original at 20 Stat. 152) signed on June 18, 1878, by President Rutherford B. Hayes that limits the powers of the federal government in the use of federal military personnel to enforce domestic policies within the United States.

Yes it does, er, um did.

This does not necessarily mean they are going to use the miltary against us. They just sleep better knowing they can if they want to.

But, on the other hand, knowing our gangsters and racketeers in office – they probably will use it.

My thought is they would do away with or try to do away with the 2A. I was probably being paranoid. I will stop that.
Oh and welcome @John1657

Couldn’t agree more! Who am I to agree, it’s law! It is written!
These are things that should be confined to fictional story telling!

My only point is that DOD Directives cannot supersede Federal Law. They (State Government) can legally use the State Guard. The Active Military may need to be reminded of the difference between a lawful and unlawful order. As a commander, I would have my unit stand down and stop any other unit from committing a crime.

You are definitely NOT being paranoid, it’s happening in real time all around us!

The two most powerful weapons in the world…the mighty pen and the written word…well three if you count the two currently holding office!

So the question is are things changing for the better or worse for we the people? So many things to consider. And I can never find my crystal ball when I need it.:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I can see why, in the Left’s extreme paranoia, they need to use the miltary to control us in the event we rise up and start raising hell for them, civil disobedience, etc.

If we decide to get wild, load guns and start banging things up, the cops would be overcome in a hurry. There is approximately 1.5 cops for every thousand civilians. Even with all their tech and everything they have to throw at us they would in no way be able to deal with it. And, here in America, we would not be the only factions to rise up and try to protect their own.

Look at Minneapolis in 2020, Kenosha, Seattle, etc. The cops were even run out of one of their own precincts in MPLS and Seattle. The thugs took them over. The cops ran. The city suffered billions in losses and there was nothing that could be done about it.

Except call in the miltary.

Donald Trump did offer MN Gov Tim Walz at that time to send in the Nat’l Guard to save the city. Walz declined the offer and allowed the city to burn. Later on, Walz applied for Federal Disaster Relief money – but was firmly denied by Trump. Trump was right to deny him, as the violence could have been stopped.

The precincts were all eventually retaken and the cities reclaimed, but these are good examples of what can happen when the ordinary person decides it’s time to let 'em have it.
