Do you carry a handgun while trick-or-treating?

Do you carry a handgun while trick-or-treating? Escorting the kids, etc.

My answer is no because I do not go out trick-or-treating.

I quit trick or treating when I was 13! When I did have kids we would have friends houses that we would go to and only go to. Lots of candy handed out per house and friends and family got to see the kids dressed up.

When my son still trick-or-treated, yes. We’ve aged out of that now.

If I’m a chaperone.

I also carry at home when the trick or treaters come.

Never know if it’s kids or someone looking for an easy opportunity in a home.

I would if I trick or treated, but I don’t. However, I still carry where ever it’s not prohibited, so if you see me out on Halloween, or any other time for that matter, yes I’m carrying.

I would carry if I still took my kids trick-or-treating. I carry everywhere I go and also while at home.

I carry on every day of the week, and holidays too
When I’m inside or out, or travelling through
The cities and towns from point A to point B
I’ll carry concealed, it’s what’s right for me
My 2A right to bear arms, is one I respect
As is my sense of duty to help and protect

When I took my kids out, yes, definitely. When I’m at home, passing out candy, definitely. There is no reason not to. Of course it is concealed in both instances.

I pretty much carry everywhere all of the time. Trick or Treat would be no different. That said, one better be very very very very carful using a firearm on a street with little people running around like crazy. I don’t think I could live with hurting a little guy by accident.

I used to, now my team and I chaperone the neighborhood kids door to door. This years operation is “Let’s Go Brandon!, don’t get Baldwined”!

It’s like the most demonic day of the year. I might strap on another back up.

I’ll be taking my kids and yes I will carry. Unfortunately there are far too many stupid adults out there.

Isn’t a semiauto considered part of a modern Cowboy costume? Just joking …

Only if it is a 1911 or Broom handle Mauser.

If I were talking my kids, yes. They’re too old for that now. I do keep it on me or near me while in the home anyway, but doubly so on Halloween. Stupid people use the holiday as an excuse to do stupid things. My family’s safety is too important to leave to chance.

Yes, it is so much easier to get candy, but all the liquor in the houses too (jk). Seriously, I carry everywhere, even when escorting the grandkids. As someone else stated, I also have it ready when answering the door to give out candy.

We’re way past that stage of life as our kids are grown. Back when they trick-or-treated, our state did not permit concealed carry. If it would have, I certainly would have. We live in a rural are so we don’t get kids coming to the door. But as a general rule, if I am dressed then I am carrying.

If it is prohibited like a business that says “no firearms allowed” I will either ignore the sign or take my business elsewhere. Federal buildings, etc., are different. Don’t go in. For the private businesseshowever, they won’t have any idea if you are carrying in a properly concealed manner.
