Yes, I did. When quoting someone, where there is a grammar/spelling error, I will sometimes just leave it, or as I did this time, correct it. I did not feel the need to point it out using (sic).

I became painfully aware of the toxic anti-gun rhetoric from the leftist “political” scene in '93 when Comrade Clinton took office. The massive carnage that was Waco, Texas is burned into my mind forever. Carefully omitted by the already compromised “news” media was the supposed “real threat” that the Davidians had thousand of guns and “millions of rounds of ammo”. Supposedly utmost as they claimed, was the “threat to children” in the compound…the children who were ultimately gassed with CS gas and burned to death with their mothers as they huddled in the basement of the building while military tanks rammed it. 51 days of absolute terror, torture and attacks. Clinton wanted to push for gun bans then but was “advised” by his “betters” that the timing just wasn’t right. These people give a flip about “gun violence” as should be obvious to anyone who’s kept up with the laughable “justice” system, deliberately and with malice weakened over the last 3 decades.

An interesting article out today (6/16/22). Will/has surrendering our rights in fact exacerbated the possibility our country’s eventual dissolution and the chance of civil war?
The article more or less acknowledging what Benjamin Franklin said, but modifying a word or two: “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety SHALL INHERIT neither liberty nor safety.”
Defending our rights is now of course “extremism”. Saul Alinsky 101.

Most reasonable articles I’ve read dismiss the idea of an outright “civil war”. There are differences between 1861 and today. In 1861, there were two, well defined, distinct geopolitical adversaries. The anti-slavery north, and the pro-slavery south. So distinct that each had it’s own president and legislative bodies. There was no confederate Supreme Court.
Today is different. Instead of being two well-organized geopolitical and philosophical opposites, we simply have chaos with myriad belief systems driving anger, hatred and discord between, and sometimes within, factions.
Organized civil war? I doubt it. Anarchy, oh now THAT is a real possibility.
