I’d be happy to pay more in state taxes to have my state tell the feds to totally bugger off and declare any federal law that violates the constitution, and the bill of rights in particular, null and void and unenforceable in my state.
Nice try, Tim, but no one in the DNC really cares what you or I have to say about guns and gun control. They have discovered a way to rig the voting system and they will now be spending their time and money to fine tune the system to insure that they win every election that means anything. Us Deplorables can go to hell . In the meantime , they will be schooling Kamal what to say and do and when to do it so that she can step in when Shotgun Joe vapor locks which won’t be long the way it looks. Our time will come in 2024 and we damned well better be ready.
I really don’t understand few posts here. We all fighting for 2A Rights, but when something happened, in this case open letter from Tim Schmidt - so may doubts. “Why”, “how”, “what is the reason”, “nobody cares”, “nobody listen”…
OMG…
stop this crap !
If you really want to do something, just stop this and keep up the spirits of people who want to fight.
Our time will come in 2024
Why in 2024? Are we going into “hibernation” mode for next 3 years? Nope. Small steps can bring the result. But result will come if we stop crying and keep our heads up.
@Jerzy Thank you.
This is a great letter. Very proud to be a member. We need to push back on potus and do way more politically.
Soulful song I heard for the first time today. Some of her harmonic lyrics hauntingly reminded me of our journeys. Hope you enjoy it:
I’m good with Tim writing a letter to Biden and the libs to indicate that their opposition to guns and the policies they are trying to implement, will do nothing to stop those who want to kill others, and in fact it will only reduce the law abiding citizens ability to protect themselves and their family. Bringing any and all attention to Biden and the lefts non constitutional, ill advised, and stupid attack on legal gun owners rights should be done by all Americans who believe that have a right to have guns, and we should be vocal at all levels Federal and State, if its important then we all need to fight for our rights.
The bottom line is we need to get more of the gun people in the United States involved in gun causes.
Just as an example if we have 100 million gun owners in the United States then why for example does the NRA only have 5 million members? Granted many people, including me, are upset with the NRA right now but my point is too many gun people are just sitting on the sidelines doing NOTHING! We need them pulling the wagon with us.
I always hear what a force the NRA is. Can you imagine how powerful a Pro gun organization would be if it had 75 million members?
I’m constantly on my friends about joining the NRA, USCCA, GOA, Second Amendment Foundation and their state Organization. OUR VOICES NEED YO BE HEARD!
That’s all well and good, but only makes sense to those of us with common sense. Those who advocate commonsense gun law reforms only care about votes and the perception of safety / at least doing something. Let’s face it. Statistics don’t sway anti-gunners, and they don’t cherish freedom over safety.
For my part, I’ve started stressing emotional stories of evil outcomes of guns laws - like women murdered with pending background checks. I’d like to shove those stories in the faces of the evil-outcome championing politicians, and the money-powers behind them, but…one neighbor at a time for now.
Your logic doesn’t have a chance to work anymore with the younger generations. What tangible good have Democratic policies done for the USA? The kids will say “Only the Deomcratic Party recognizes that we’re an evil country, and so everything done to tear it down is a good thing”
The only possible way to be ready in 2024 is to fix (or unfix as the case may be) the crazy voting shenanigans that transpired 3 months ago. That requires a Supreme Court willing to defend the Constitution. We’re still a couple justices short of that, and that’s without court packing.
Can you imagine how much power in addition to corruptness 75 million members would give people like Wayne LePee-ew?
You’re right, though - Can you imagine the positive change possible if every State had an average of 1.5 Million active supporters of local freedom-loving organizations?
Wayne needs to go
None of us is as prepared for what’s to come as we might think we are.
“…can a state effectively forbid enforcement of federal law?”
May it please the court, the defense offers Exhibit A - Sanctuary Cities.
Ah, that’s great. They opponent made a template for us to follow
When both sides start ignoring the law of the land, the split is not too far behind.
And I heartily, loudly, vociferously applaud any and all Second Amendment Sanctuaries.
I’m about to suggest to my Governor and My Two RINOS that I want Florida as a whole to be a 2A Sanctuary.
I’m not gonna wait for the Bluetopians at Broward and Miami-Dade to force this issue.
I also received an email today from Gun Owners of America (GOA) organization, who asked that I sign a petition asking my U.S. Rep. from my state, not to approve a Bill which was not supportive of 2A rights. I signed it, and it looks like GOA will send it to my U.S. Rep. for me. I thought that was positive.
Don’t you EVER presume to speak on my behalf unless I ask you to. This letter reeks of swamp slime and the slick, say nothing posturing of the DC critters. Stick to the boardroom and keep the product effective. Stay out of politics with this or you’ll loose members just like the NRA has.
